Deion Sanders is an individual with many personas. He’s a slightly altered version of himself, depending on what aspect of his life he’s traversing. You’re well-versed with Coach Prime- the almost transcendent figure who’s changed the course of Colorado football. You’re also aware of the stand-up father persona who’s raised some great young adults both in the sports realm or outside. But have you heard of Santa Prime? That may be the newest persona off the conveyor belt, and eldest daughter Deiondra Sanders is witnessing it first-hand.

When Christmas comes around, most people inadvertently begin setting aside funds to treat their families. to some gifts. That isn’t really a concern for Deion Sanders. He’s probably got a bank balance that reads more like a phone number. Best believe he went out of his way with presents for grandson Snow’s very first Christmas. Fans became privy to a few such gifts in the lead-up to Colorado’s Alamo Bowl date with BYU.

Deiondra shared a video via her Instagram, showing off a bunch of infant-sized Buffs gear gifted to baby Snow. She was caught by surprise with the merchandise in her father’s hotel room in San Antonio. It’s inconspicuous who left the stuff there. However the fact that it was in Deion’s room in particular suggests he sourced it from the program. 

Knowing his equation with his kids, Deion probably just avoids over-the-top materialistic presents on Christmas. Shedeur Sanders has often remarked how his dad keeps the kids on a proverbial leash in terms of expenditure on luxuries. This style of parenthood has certainly paid its dividends. 

Deiondra Sanders, alongside Snow in his brand-new threads, will cheer upon half-brothers Shedeur and Shilo as they play their last-ever collegiate game tonight. As if the pair needed it, the support from the stands will go some way in propelling the Buffs to a win as their star seniors bid farewell. One person, though, will cherish this occasion even more than probably the entire Sanders clan combined.

Deion Sanders spread the love around, with super-fan at the forefront

Snow isn’t the only one being bestowed with some love from Santa Prime. Earlier in the year, Deion made Colorado’s 100-year-old super-fan Peggy Coppom a two-fold promise. Not only was he to achieve Bowl eligibility for Colorado for the first time in 4 years. He said he’d make sure she’s flown out to wherever the game is, in a private jet, no less. Santa Prime kept his promise. Miss Peggy and her family got flown out to San Antonio in special style.

Snow and Miss Peggy quite literally represent opposite spectrums of Colorado fans. One’s only just received their first gear. The other probably has black and gold blood coursing through their veins. A common factor between the pair is Deion Sanders’ reverence towards them.

2 years after it began, the Shedeur Sanders-Travis hunter era of Colorado football shall cease to exist in mere hours. As fans of all demographics peek over the horizon for a new dawn, they’ll rest assured with Deion leading the charge. Certain factions of them will hope to catch a glimpse of what else he showered his grandson with tis’ season.
