The Buffs’ last weekend game over Arizona was their major bounce back this season. However, the 34-7 victory is nothing but their starting quarterback’s hard work and unique approach toward his team. Shedeur Sanders completed 23 out of 33 passes for 250 yards and scored two touchdowns. Aside from that, he’s the kind of guy who chills with his guys when they’re out partying, but on the field, he’s the tough leader who doesn’t care who’s standing in front of him, and he’s not afraid to do what’s best at that moment for the team. Shedeur’s dedication to the Buffs was praised by college football analyst Harry Douglas during College GameDay.
Remember, a moment from Colorado’s game against Arizona when Shedeur asked his wide receiver if he could catch the pigskin? Douglas praised him by saying, “For playing number one. He has the clutch gene in the system. He’s the son of Deion Sanders. Prime Time. There’s a reason why he’s so clutch when it comes to moments in ba-l games, but the way he manoeuvres the pocket, he can make every single throw on the football field.”

That wasn’t the only time Shedeur was stricter with his teammates; there have been similar moments this season, and Douglas didn’t forget to recount them.
“But I like his assertiveness and his aggressiveness towards his team, right? You’ve seen it with him and Travis Hunter, right? Hey, I threw you a fade. You didn’t catch Travis Hunter telling him to call him another one. He’s like, Well, catch the first one. And then you saw last week a little conversation between him and saying, Hey, can you get open on the go route? I think I can. No, can you get open or not? Right? I like that assertiveness from the quarterback position if you’re going to have success in college without.”
Coach Prime’s expression went numb at the moment Shedeur was looking to Sheppard. It looked as if he gave a side-eye to Shedeur and didn’t like how he talked with his teammate. However, at first, it felt rude to even Deion Sanders because of the quarterback’s aggressive handling of things. The No. 14-wearing receiver Will Sheppard caught a touchdown at the next play! Shedeur Sanders Heisman odds
The biggest competitor of Shedeur to win the Heisman this year is the Hurricanes’ QB Cam Ward, whose excellence was evident in last week’s 52-45 win over the Louisville Cardinals, for which he completed 319 yards and four touchdowns in the game. Ward has set the record of 2538 yards and 24 touchdowns with five interceptions so far this season.
On the other hand, Shedeur Sanders has completed 2268 yards at a 72.2% completion rate with 19 touchdowns and six interceptions. He ranks 35 in the nation with 72.3% QBR. However, after week eight, Cam Ward’s Heisman odds fell behind Bay State RB Ashton Jeanty with +220 odds.

Although Shedeur has been playing great, he’s currently labeled no. 11 in the Heisman rat race with +5000 odds. However, there may not be anyone ahead of him when it comes to the No. 1 pick for the next year’s NFL Draft. College football analyst Colin Cowherd confirmed this view. “I watched Shedeur Sanders, and I think it’s pretty obvious that’s the No. 1 pick for a couple of reasons,” he said on the latest episode of “The Herd.”
With that, Colorado’s Saturday game against Cincinnati is going to be crucial for Sanders as well as his team’s overall status in college football.
