Next week the Colorado Buffs are going to face the Kansas State Wildcats after their bye week, following which today, on Kansas State football on GoPowercat | 247Sports, Kansas star quarterback Avery Johnson praised Travis Hunter while taking a dig at media hate against the Buffs hampering his Heisman odds.

“Travis Hunter is one of the Heisman favorites for a reason—he’s a really talented player. What he does on both sides of the B— is really special and doesn’t get enough credit. A lot of people have their two cents to say about him, and a lot of people want to hate on him, but he plays really hard. Being able to play as many snaps as he does week in and week out is truly special.” Well, that’s the power of Travis Hunter’s gameplay. Avery Johnson took a stand against the media for him.

However, even after getting such mass recognition as a top Heisman Trophy contender, Travis Hunter fears that he might not win it because of the hate people carry for the Colorado Buffs. A few days back, in the episode of Kickin It with Dee Hunter, he mentioned the reason he had doubts about winning the Heisman Trophy, saying, “I could be at the top of their list. They are just not saying anything. And I can also be at the bottom of the list because they just don’t like who my coach is.”

Well, it’s a fact that college football has some other kind of hate for Deion Sanders and the team. They are often considered the team that “plays for the clicks” and whatnot. But even after such tags, the team has pulled off a pretty remarkable game this season, and Travis Hunter has gained mass belief even after the hate people have for the Buffs.

Travis Hunter gaining belief

Even after the media’s evident hatred for Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffs, the two-way player is gaining mass recognition and praise. Everyone is hoping for Hunter to win the Heisman Trophy this season, and, as a matter of fact, he deserves it.

Yesterday, famous sportscaster Rich Eisen gave his solid opinion on Travis Hunter winning the Heisman Trophy, saying, “If Travis Hunter doesn’t win the Heisman Trophy, I will be stunned. He’s playing almost every snap of the football game. His routes are second-to-none, his catching radius, his ability to make plays, and then he plays defense lights out. I swear he’s going to do this in the pros.”

Eisen even mentioned that even if he doesn’t win, it will not be because of his performance. It will totally be because of the hate people have for Deion Sanders and the team.
