Actions speak louder than words. It’s easier to take shots at someone than actually being in their situation. Travis Hunter is a big name in College Football because of his dual proficiency status. Raising questions about his abilities seems quite unexpected, but let’s see what the fuss is all about.

In today’s conversation in The Travis Hunter Show, Tech Influencer Tussalty joins Kaden Sonnabend and Travis, while they were discussing Hunter’s speed and gameplay over clamping. Tech replied to this with a very shocking statement saying,  “Just gonna be honest I don’t think you’re faster than what you think you can clamp”. Following this Tech also said he could clamp better than Hunter and might beat Hunter in a 100-meter race. Hunter was quite surprised by his claim forcing him to ask “Listen, you think you can beat me in a race?”

Even though the 21-year-old was amazed he ended their conversation on a funny note when saying “Will gonna let you have that one today my brother”. Travis Hunter is an all-rounder, when it comes to strength and gameplay, it might be delusional on the Tech influencer’s side to think he can beat him.  Last season, he stood out as one of the top players in the Football Bowl Subdivision. Following Deion Sanders from Jackson State, the two-way star came to Colorado in 2023. Despite the struggles of the Buffaloes, he displayed exceptional performance on both offense and defense. But the question here is will he be able to pull this off in the coming season?

Anticipation for Travis Hunter’s upcoming season

Travis Hunter is a star player of Colorado Buffs entering the 2024 season, Travis Hunter has high expectations for himself and his team. Despite missing three games last season, Travis Hunter was a crucial part of 1,007 plays.  In nine games, Hunter achieved 57 catches for 721 yards and five touchdowns. He also contributed to 30 tackles, five passes defended, and three interceptions, resulting in a positive side of his abilities.

Following his stats even Travis has some major goals to achieve in the upcoming season. Even though the Buffs were in a tough spot last season, Deion Sanders has high hopes for Travis. In a recent conversation with ESPN,  he expressed his belief that a “smart team” would bring out the best in Hunter’s skills as a wide receiver and cornerback. But for Coach Prime and his team, he will always remain as the No. 1 corner and receiver. “I don’t see anybody else in college football better.” It’ll be interesting to see if Travis Hunter can live up to Coach’s expectations or not.
