Eli Dinkwitz’s Missouri Tigers are 3-0 after their most dominating (52-10) win against the Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin Cajuns. Despite having a fumble start with their QB, Sam Horn, getting injured on the first play, they maintained a solid winning streak. Beau Pribula who got transferred from Penn State, was named the primary QB of Missouri, as Sam underwent surgery, missing the remaining games. Sam’s injury might be a ‘blessing in disguise’ for Eli Dinkwitz’s Missouri, as the new QB outshines the opposing defense with ease.

CFB Hall of Famer David Pollack and analyst Brent Rollins on the latest episode of See Ball Get Ball with David Pollack reviewed the week 3 games. During the podcast, both the CFB experts praised his gameplay, reviewing his rankings and numbers. Rollins said that Eli Drinkwirz would be wondering, “Hey, maybe we picked the wrong guy” as the starter QB. Based on the ball placement data, Rollins ranked Beau Pribula as “Accurate+” for his perfect, on-the-money, Bullseye-type throw. “He’s No. 2 in overall accurate throws. No. 4 in clean pocket passing grade,” revealed Analyst Brent Rollins. “He is playing very, very well from Missouri right now.”

“He wasn’t really even the starter in week 1.” Pollack remembered, “So the injury in the first play for Missouri changed him pretty quickly. But, Pribula probably would have won the job, but we knew a really athletic guy. But we knew it was goodbye time, as the wildcat guy was really strong. Every time he was in there, he was really good on the target.” Mizzou’s new QB in his first three weeks of the season has completed 53 out of 57 passes with 76.4% accuracy, covering 791 yards and 7 TDs. He has also rushed 76 yards and scored 3 TDs with the rushing game. With all these three weeks of play, it is evident that Mizzou’s QB is one of the biggest transfers of this season.

Pribula, in his first game for Missouri against Central Arkansas, completed 23 out of 28 passes for 283 yards and had 2TDs. In week 2, against the rivals Kansas Jayhawks, he completed 30 out of 39 passes for 334 yards, with 3 TDs, leading to the Tigers’ victory. He was named the Maxwell Player of the Week for his dominant play. Entering week 3, Pribula completed 15 out of passings for 174 yards, scoring 2 TDs. With only three weeks into the game, CFB experts teased him as one of the most dangerous transfers in the nation.

What’s your perspective on:

Is Beau Pribula the real deal, or just a temporary fix for Missouri's QB woes?

Have an interesting take?

Pribula’s Heisman odds after week three have dropped from +10000 to +6000, but still a long shot for the Trophy. He might not be among the top 15, but he is named as a sleeper to watch out for. Beau Pribula’s Missouri will have its fourth match on September 21, against the South Carolina Gamecocks at their home ground, Faurot Field.

This would be an interesting match-up of the week, where SC’s QB LaNorris Sellers is likely to be sidelined from the game after taking a hit against the Vanderbilt Commodores. Will Missouri’s winning streak continue? We need to wait and watch.
