Today, Awful Announcing took to X to share a clip from the Florida State vs. Duke showdown where the announcer took a dig at quarterback Brock Glenn because of his poor performance during the game, which led to an interception as he straightway gave the football in his opponent’s hand. Describing the whole act, announcer Kirk Morrison said, “Mike, I don’t want to say this, but I gotta say it. I think he’s seeing ghosts… That’s a quarterback who’s seeing something pre-snap, but he has to understand that it’s going to change post-snap.” Kirk Morrison offered some tough criticism for the FSU QB Brock Glenn.

Moreover, it’s quite surprising to see Brock Glenn’s poor performance against Duke, as, during their last game against Clemson, his gameplay was very impressive and up to the mark. He completed 23 out of 41 passes, running for 228 yards with two touchdowns and one interception. Even Florida State’s head coach Mike Norvell was very satisfied with his performance. But looks like he was wrong about Brock! The QB wasn’t ready for the pressure, so in today’s game, the coach made a bold move and replaced him in the second quarter.

Brock Glenn gets replaced

After witnessing a disappointing performance of Brock Glenn against Duke in the first quarter, head coach Mike Norvell decided to replace Brock with Luke Kromenhoek in the second quarter. It looks like it didn’t take long for Mike to realize that the team’s decision to change the quarterback was a mistake. However, before Luke’s entry in the game against the Blue Devils, quarterback Brock Glenn completed 3 out of his 10 passes running for 37 yards with two costly interceptions.

Despite switching quarterbacks, Florida State still couldn’t catch a break against Duke. They trailed 20-13 heading into the fourth quarter and never really threatened to come back. In the end, the Blue Devils pulled out a 23-16 victory. It’s a tough loss for Florida State, who now sit at 1-6 on the season. Duke, meanwhile, earned their first win over the Seminoles.
