It is the showdown between the Dawgs, and only the best will take it home. We all know Kirby Smart has it in the bag. After the Bama game, Kirby Smart and Co. have been on a run for redemption. Coming off of a win against Auburn with a massive 31-13, the Dawgs are running it up for MS State as Kirby Smart leads with 34-17. This should be an easy win and there is no doubt about it. But then, why the cheap tricks?

Alison Mastrangelo took to X to share an update regarding the Georgia-MS State game announcers. She said, “The crowd was told to boo very loud. Announcer said practice your boos for when Tennessee is here,”. The post had a clip with it that showed MS State entering the turf and the crowd boo-ing them. Yeah, we get it. At the end of the day, this falls under psychological warfare, but Kirby Smart and co. don’t need it. The Dawgs already have a much better offense and defense as compared to what Jeff Lebby has at MS State.

And here are the stats from the game till now, that prove it has been pure domination since the 1st quarter. QB Carson Beck has already locked in 3 touchdowns along with 2 solid interceptions. If that wasn’t enough, it’s only been 6:20 in the 3rd quarter and this guy has already covered 399 yards.

This improvement over what we saw during the Tide rivalry game is something to admire. As Kalen DeBoer and Co are on a steady decline, Smart took it well and did what he needed to do to bring the boys back into the game. However, it looks like the MS State game has its bad luck for Smart.

We saw 2 different Dawgs players get injured during the game. While one of them has returned during the 3rd quarter, the second key player is out of this one. This does not look good for Smart. We have seen the HC struggle with injury issues before as well. With the Longhorns game coming next week, can Smart bounce back?

Tough time for Georgia Bulldogs

As we mentioned before, WR Arian Smith and RB Branson Robinson were the ones who suffered the injuries. Smith was down because of a hip injury during the 2nd quarter of the game, but after some time inside the locker room, he was back on the turf.

However, it is the Robinson scene that is more concerning. The running back suffered an injury on his right knee. He was instantly escorted out and was ruled OUT for the remainder of the game. Robinson has been a key part of the Bulldogs offense and losing him will hit Kirby Smart quite hard.

Keeping in mind that the Bulldogs will be taking on the current No.1 team in the season (Longhorns) next week, Smart will need all of his best soldiers on the turf. From what we saw Texas Longhorns pull during the Red River Rivalry, Steve Sarkisian will give the Bulldogs a run for their money.
