Miami Hurricanes quarterback Cam Ward quickly transformed the Hurricanes, being a great leader for the program. The kind of numbers he has made this season are striking. He even surpassed last year’s Heisman Trophy winner, Jayden Daniels. Does that mean Ward will hold the Heisman title this season? Well, he is currently above every other QB with +200 odds to win it. Now ESPN’s college game day analysts also discussed what sets Ward apart from the crowd.
Cam Ward, the star quarterback from the Miami Hurricanes, is now among the top 2025 NFL Draft picks and a Heisman candidate as well. So far this season, Ward has thrown for around 4000 yards and 40 touchdowns. Ward’s touchdown-scoring abilities are raising eyebrows among college football experts. Now, College GameDay has shared an X post highlighting Ward’s performance.

College Game Day panelist Desmond Howard reviewed the Week 11 Miami vs Georgia Tech game, and naturally, any talk about the Hurricanes has to include their star player. Howard was full of praise for Cam Ward’s playmaking abilities and warned Georgia Tech about what to expect today.
“You’ve got captain save-game in Cam Ward; they’re gonna have to deal with No. 1 today, baby,” Howard said. The former Heisman Trophy winner, in praising Ward, did take a shot at the Hurricanes’ defense, but can you really blame him? Whatever the defense may leak, the Yellow Jackets know that they have to get through Ward for any chance of winning against the 9-0 Hurricanes.
It’s intriguing to notice Miami won most of its game late in the fourth quarter. The credit goes to? The one and only Cam Ward. Ward saved Miami from an embarrassing loss against Louisville and scored 14 points in the fourth quarter to secure a 52-45 victory. With that, let’s learn what other members of the College Game Day crew have to say about Cam Ward.

The most important thing, guys, he’s got that it factor.”
