In their upcoming clash with Florida, the undefeated Aggies are looking towards a major return of one of their key pieces from the secondary. Bryce Anderson was injured against Notre Dame at South Bend. He took a brutal hit as his head collided with the Irish TE Eli Raridon. The medical staff spent nearly 10 intense minutes stabilizing him before carting him off. Thankfully, they found no catastrophic injury, and Anderson is now ready to take his place against the Gators.

But with 2 games missed in between, Anderson wouldn’t just step back in without a bit of introspection, right? That’s why he took to Instagram and posted a story of himself with a message written underneath.

“Dear lord thank you for protecting my mental throughout this whole recovering process,” the message read. “Only you know what I dealt with to get back today. Thank you for being with me day by day and allowing me to play the game I love again.”

He further writes, “As I step on the field today, protect me with all your strength and allow me to play to the best of my abilities! Amen.” Anderson’s stat line this season reads well enough for him to be a real threat against the Gators.

With 117 career tackles, 14 tackles for loss, a couple of interceptions, and 8 passes defended, he’s been a rock in the secondary. Anderson more or less carried that momentum this season, with three tackles against UTSA. He showed his instincts early on in the season. Then, one week later, against Utah State, he replicated that effort with another three tackles.

And then against the Irish, Anderson racked up 4 tackles before he was taken off the field. On the other side, the Florida Gators are coming in with renewed confidence after a statement win against Texas in the Swamp.

The Gators stunned the No. 9 Longhorns 29-21, fueled by DJ Lagway’s season-high 289 passing yards and two touchdowns. This victory snapped Florida’s three-game skid and showed they can compete hard in the SEC. Aside from that, Scooby Williams is questionable. The backup safety, Jared Kerr, is out, missing his first game of the season. For Florida, the injury list is pretty long as six guys are set to miss the game.

Who has the edge?

Let’s talk odds at College Station today. Texas A&M enters the game with an impressive undefeated record. As per betting markets, Texas A&M is a 7.5-point favorite with the total points set at 47.5. The moneyline heavily favors the Aggies at -275 compared to Florida’s +225. Early in the season, the Aggies were averaging just 157 rushing yards per game. But soon after, they shattered that record with dominant runs of 207 yards against Auburn and a whopping 303 yards against Mississippi State.

Le’Veon Moss is the leading rusher with 343 yards and five touchdowns, while Reuben Owens also provides a solid punch, making this rush attack something opponents fear. Florida, fresh off a dramatic upset of Texas, brings confidence into the matchup. But confidence is not everything. Florida struggles to score consistently, ranking last in the SEC with just 23.4 points per game.

The Gators rely heavily on a strong run game led by Jadan Baugh. It’s because he became the first back to crack 100 yards against Texas this year. Defensively, the Aggies have been a fortress, allowing just 19 points combined in two SEC games. They even limited big plays with 3.6 sacks per game and 8.2 tackles for loss. They’ve also crushed third-down conversions by opponents, allowing just 1 for 23.

However, Florida’s defense might make this a close contest, ranking 29th nationally in limiting opponents’ success rates.
