Should we laugh about this or sit in confusion? OSU had quite the year this time, with Ryan Day leading the charge. They were on a massive 10-win run with their only loss being to the current top team on the chart (Ducks). See, Ryan Day and Co. had done more than enough this year. They stopped Curt Cignetti and James Franklin‘s unbeatable run and quickly grabbed the 2nd spot on the CFP list. But it looks like Day forgot one crucial thing; What goes around, comes around. While the Buckeyes got too busy stopping Penn State and Indiana, Michigan came out of nowhere and probably put a stopper on OSU’s Big 10 title game dream.

Back on X, Ryan Evan Schroat definitely supports this idea. “How funny would Michigan beating OSU be with this mediocre season? Put the buckeyes out of the BIG title game and worrying what seed they may be and on the road,” Ryan mentioned in his post. This entire loss is nothing but hilarious. Like how do you manage to lose by 3 points in a home game against a 5 loss team? This is the first time in around 55 years that this rivalry has seen such a disappointing loss. 1969 was the last time the Buckeyes were shut out at 12-24 by Michigan.

When you think about it, the Hoosiers game is probably the championship game for Day and Co. They were just exhausted going into this showdown, man. There was little to no run game throughout the entire showdown and Buckeyes locked in around 77 rushing yards.

The Wolverines had 172 in that game. See, this game was so lopsided that it makes you wonder how Ryan Day even managed to make this blunder. Michigan has zero quarterback depth. Davis Warren is average at best with more interceptions than touchdowns.

And Alex Orji is a one-trick pony. The biggest negative for Sherrone Moore was the fact that HIS BEST PLAYERS were not even in this game. CB Will Johnson and TE Colston Loveland were out for this one. You know what that means? Warner kind of had no one for the passing game. And it shows because Michigan managed to get around 62 passing yards compared to 175 by OSU. First-year without Jim Harbaugh, Moore still managed to win against the Buckeyes. All of this makes you wonder, will OSU even make it to the Big 10 title game?

What’s your perspective on:

Did OSU get too cocky, or did Michigan just outsmart them in their own backyard?

Have an interesting take?

What fate awaits Ryan Day?

If he doesn’t get fired first, the Big 10 title game dream looks far off for the Buckeyes. See, on the list, Oregon, Indiana, and Penn State are on the top. Out of Indiana and Penn State, whoever wins will go on to fight it off against the Ducks.

See, Penn State is already 0-7 against the Terrapins. We all know that they manage to swing around, but we still gotta wait and watch. The next game would be Indiana vs. Purdue, and let’s be honest, Hoosiers should win this one. If either of those teams manage to win, OSU ain’t going to the Big 10 title game.

Yes, they will still be on the CFP list, but boy oh boy, are they getting thrown off from their No.2 spot.
