Quarterback Julian Lewis is making headlines once again. He has been reclassified from the 2026 to the 2025 cycle. The 16-year-old is the top-ranked recruit for all the major college football programs. Back in August 2023, Lewis decided to join the USC Trojans. Since then, big programs like Georgia, Colorado, Auburn, Indiana, and others have tried to flip his decision in their favor.

Lewis grew up with his four siblings in Carrollton, GA. He comes from a sports-related family: His father, T.C., played on the Ucon Huskies football team, and his grandfather, Ty, was an outstanding athlete and a high school football coach.

The five-star recruit is a public figure, and social media plays a big role in his life as it helps him stay connected with his fans constantly. He has 143K followers on Instagram, but his love life is unknown to his fans. Lewis has been very active on social media since he started playing. However, he has yet to share any photos of himself with his partner. Clearly, the young player is prioritizing his football career.

Julian Lewis’ reason for choosing USC Trojans

Although Lewis is visiting schools nationwide, he is still committed to the USC Trojans. LAFB reported his one biggest reason to join the Trojans. “I chose USC for Lincoln Riley. I mean, overall, I mean I didn’t really know about Cali like that. I just chose Coach Riley and I believed in him and what he is doing with quarterbacks,” Lewis said.

Lincoln Riley is a popular coach; his track record speaks for his work. Under his guidance, Baker Mayfield, Kyler Murray, and Caleb Williams have won their Heisman titles. He is known for his work ethic, and his direction has helped all three players be the first overall pick in the NFL draft. Lewis is attending Carrollton High School and is all set to follow in the footsteps of these talented players and achieve great heights with the Trojans.
