His biological father, Jimmy Horn Sr., is currently incarcerated on multiple drug-related charges stemming from an incident on November 2, 2021. Unfortunately, the sentencing for these charges was finalized just weeks before Colorado’s season opener.

In the Colorado Buff’s victory over North Dakota State on August 29, Jimmy displayed an impressive performance. He caught seven passes; he also recorded two touchdowns. The Denver Post reported Jimmy’s statement after the game, where he shared his last meeting with his dad, “I was able to talk to him,” he added.

“He’s about to get shipped off to the prison, so that was my last time talking to him before. So, you know, I just got to go even harder.” This experience has fueled his determination to succeed on the field, pushing the wide receiver to work hard despite the challenges he faces off it.
