“Foul tarnished, in search of the Elden Ring. Emboldened by the flame of ambition. Someone must extinguish thy flame.” See, for Deion Sanders, the Alamo Bowl wasn’t fun. The team had one of the worst productions during that game, and BYU pretty much dog-walked the Buffs. However, that doesn’t mean the race stops. With the regular season and the Bowl game over, Deion Sanders has to brace for another run in 2025. Now, this comes at a cost… Coach Prime’s O-line is falling apart again as Khalil Benson and Nikhai Hill-Green jump ships and hit the portal. However, Coach Prime has a potential solution.

Enter Julian Lewis, the proverbial QB1 for the Buffs and Shedeur Sanders’ “successor”. But why are we even talking about the QB when the position that needs filling is the linemen? Well, Bama and the Dawgs are in a run to secure an interesting 4-star IOL. But it is what he posted on his that makes us scratch our heads.“@julianlewis10 what you tryna do,” 4-star Zykie Helton wrote on his story while sharing an image of On3 declaring Buffs, Bama, and Dawgs race for the recruit. And what did Lewis have to say? Well, he just re-shared Helton’s story with two laughing emojis.

See, one thing is for sure. If both Alabama and Georgia want this guy, then there is something different about him, and for Deion Sanders, this could be a blessing in disguise for his 2026 class. There is nothing more the Buffs need right now other than an offensive line rework.

For 2 seasons, at this point, the O-line has been the main cause of worry. While Deion did revamp it for 2024 with Jordan Seaton, along with 6 other linemen coming in, everything still felt like soggy bread. Shedeur took 8 sacks against Baylor. Imagine that…

For Helton to commit to Colorado, depth will matter. “I want to play, so depth charts are important to me,” Helton had mentioned. From what we have found out, this guy is serious about playing, and it doesn’t seem like he cares about the glam. If Lewis is helping out, seeing that both of them are from Carrollton High, it could mean things are heading in Deion’s direction. Still, the O-line woes continue…

Buffs succumb to SEC underdogs

“Mississippi State is hiring Colorado offensive line coach.” As much as every Buffs fan hates Phil Loadholt, he still made some memories with the team, and watching him go would be hard for Deion.

Deion desperately needed someone better on the offensive line, and this poaching is like a blessing in disguise, but you just don’t wanna lose your old coaches to the SEC, right? Now, why did MS State make this decision? We have no clue.

One look at any tape would show you how bad the offensive line has been for the last 2 seasons, and Phil did not make anything better. And MS State, coming off of that 10-loss season, could do with someone better…

Well, the good news is that the Buffs O-line won’t be ranked 120th in the FBS.
