Colorado and Kansas State are both coming off impressive wins and are ready to clash in a highly anticipated matchup. The Buffaloes have a 4-1 record, while the Wildcats are ranked 19th and also have a 4-1 record. Both teams have had a bye week to rest and prepare. Colorado’s recent victory over UCF was a blowout, with a final score of 48-21, and likewise, Kansas State also had a strong win against Oklahoma State, 42-20. So, this game is sure to be an exciting one, especially with NFL and NBA legends in attendance.

Speaking of legends, do you remember Deion Sanders‘ famous line from the Nike video, “There’s a reaper”? A few days after Kevin Durant became the all-time leading Olympic scorer, surpassing Lisa Leslie with his 489th point, Nike dropped a tribute video to celebrate his achievement. The video was meant to honor Durant’s incredible milestone for both men’s and women’s basketball. But what really grabbed everyone’s attention was the fact that Deion Sanders, the legendary coach and former NFL star, was the one narrating the tribute.

Now Durant is attending the upcoming Colorado Buffs vs. Kansas State to pay back Deion’s favors. A former college football player, Justine Stucky, shared a clip of this NBA legend from the Folsom Field, Boulder, Colorado. “Kevin Durant Is At The CU Game,” he wrote as a caption for the shot clip of the NBA star entering the stadium.

The “slim reaper” helped lead the Red, White, and Blue to grab gold in the 2012 London Games, the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Games, and the 2020 Tokyo Games. Following his recent Olympic record after he scored 11 points off the bench, he received love from all across the nation. To create a record, Durant surpassed an already existing record of 336 points of Carmelo Anthony from the 2021 Tokyo games.

Nike wasted no time in celebrating this significant milestone of Durant releasing a video tribute to him. Deion Sanders, who keeps a close eye on basketball, started the video by saying, “Today I’m doing a tribute to my man, KD. I don’t know if he has already accomplished it but he’s about to be the ultimate leading scorer for the Olympic team.” Coach Prime praised him by showering his love on him.
