College Football GameDay is back with Kirk Herbstreit and Pat McAfee coming back to the scene and making the OSU-Texas pre-game show memorable. And Kirk Herbstreit with his fluffy and cuddly pal, Peter, roaming around the press box. Moreover, with Pat McAfee’s Kickin’ contest going on, Peter did something that became a ‘bad omen’, costing Pat McAfee $250K within moments.

McAfee had invited an OSU student to his ‘Kicking Contest’, which had a prize of $250K at the end of it. But before the student could kick the ball into the field goal, Peter took a dump nearby with OSU fans cheering on the sidelines. Even Pat McAfee called the moment a “bad omen,” with Herbstreit laughing it out. And within moments, the student converted the kick, taking home a hefty $250,000 cheque!! Moreover, McAfee was “wild” amidst all of this!!

With Ohio State fans draped in the scarlet and gray colors, crowding Pat McAfee, Kirk Herbstreit, and the student kicking the ball, McAfee declares defeat for the student in the kicking contest. “You got Pete running around. You got the mascots staring you down. They don’t want you to win. Good doesn’t want you to win.” But within moments, the camera moves to Pete “doing his thing,” as Pat McAfee cautions the student, Logan, sternly.

“Peter is taking a dump in the middle of the field. Go kicking. Now, through manure, great things grow. Will Peters’ poop grow you 200 and 50 thousand dollars? You only have one kick. I don’t care. think that poop was a bad omen. Yeah. I mean, Peter’s poop right in your face. I can’t believe we don’t have turf. Well, we’re in Ohio. This is a football state. You gotta be tough,” declared Pat McAfee. Moreover, an actor was also present at the scene.

Promoting his upcoming television series, actor Glen Powell also made an appearance on the scene. Powell is known for his work in recent movies like Top Gun: Maverick, The Running Man, and Hitman, among others. The actor, too, was blown away by the atmosphere and how Pat McAfee turned a moment into a funfest of comedy. As for Peter, he’s going to be one of the central figures of the proceedings in the press box.

Peter’s influence is bound to increase with every passing day this season

Last year, too, on November 23rd in Columbus, Peter had his antics in last year’s McAfee’s Kicking contest. For context, when Herbstreit picked the ball for the kicker, a student, to kick the football, Peter was a disruptive influence. Herbstreit tried to distract Peter by playing fetch, but to no avail, as the student missed his two chances of kicks.

Even against Notre Dame in December last year, Peter roamed the campus freely. “While waiting to receive my ESPN College GameDay credential, Kirk Herbstreit’s dog Peter, escaped the set and began roaming Notre Dame’s campus. Much to fans’ excitement,” reported Michael Clubb, a photojournalist for the South Bend Tribune.

This year, too, we can surely see a similar demeanor from Peter, dominating the field, before any team does. Moreover, we can also see Peter’s other two brothers, Mitch and Theo, with him. Sadly, Peter’s other brother, Beau, passed away in July at just six months old after suffering from some health issues. “Our sweet Beau had a lot of health issues, and we had to let him go yesterday. Only 6 months old but impacted us all,” wrote Kirk Herbstreit in his X post.
