Lane Kiffin felt that real FOMO on Saturday! Ole Miss just came off a win against South Carolina in a strong 27-3 victory. While the Rebels HC had the chance to grab the spotlight during his post-game conference, his eyes and mind were at the FirstBank Stadium where a crazy upset went down for Kalen DeBoer and Alabama.

While Lane Kiffin was there in front of the camera, No. 1 Alabama was battling a losing game against unranked Vanderbilt. With the live game on the screen, he just couldn’t get his eyes off of it. On October 8, CBS Sports CFB posted an adorable clip of Lane Kiffin getting distracted watching the SEC thriller. But he had quite a smart reply for his distraction as he said, “Sorry, I mean this is a once in a lifetime thing that’s going on.” CBS Sports CFB added in the caption, “Never change, Lane!

The SEC showdown truly became a once in a lifetime thing, a shocker to the football world. In what is one of the biggest shocking upsets this season, Alabama lost to Vanderbilt, a team they’ve dominated since 1984. This gave fans the perfect platform to hate on Kalen DeBoer who began the season with a perfect 4-0 record, including a last win over Georgia.

It’s no wonder the ugly loss sparked fury among hopeful Alabama fans. A particular fan even gave a lengthy rant about why Kalen DeBoer’s honeymoon phase is over. But coming back to Lane Kiffin, he managed to charm his fans both on and off the field.

Lane Kiffin gives fans something to remember 

Fans in the comment section had a great time watching this entertainer. One person wrote, “At least he knows one time thing 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂” Not sure if Kalen DeBoer is going to allow such an upset to happen again but hopefully, that would be the first and last fumble for the season.

Another person couldn’t contain their intrigue watching Kiffin’s eyes. They wrote, “Is he looking at the reporter AND the TV?” This invited another response from a fan who wholeheartedly agreed.

The person got in the comments to agree and make a comparison. They wrote, “Dude this is hilarious. You just made me bust out laughing and then I watched the video again 😂😂 he’s definitely looking at both sound like jeff bridges.” And yes, you can look again to confirm! 

A satisfied fan loved the Rebels HC’s relatable actions. They wrote, “Man U got to love Lane.” Lane Kiffin began on a great note this season with five wins against one shocking loss to Kentucky.

But there are also disheartened South Carolina fans in the chat. One Gamecocks fan wrote, “Not much to talk about after they a– whipping they laid on us.” Whether it’s the fan who has limited his talks or if they’re throwing shade on Kiffin’s disinterest, the Rebels really landed a blow to SC. But they’ll face some serious competition when they meet No. 13 LSU next.
