The Kyren Lacy hit-and-run trial took a completely different turn after his attorney, Matt Ory, put out some bold questions in front of the Louisiana State Police. Back in January, Lacy was involved in a car accident that ultimately led to a collision with 78-year-old Herman Hall, causing his death. Now, after this took place, Lacy was supposed to appear in court and fight for justice, but before he could even tell his side of the story, he took his own life. After months of investigation, Ory finally found something that proved his innocence. And now Lacy’s mother, Kandace Washington, is right out there urging fans to show up for him!

After the tragic accident, Kyren Lacy faced multiple charges of negligent homicide, hit and run, and reckless driving. Police even claimed that Lacy was passing the other vehicles in a no-parking zone. And because of that, a pickup truck had to pull the brake so that it would not have to hit him directly. On top of that, police even made a bold statement saying how Lacy fled the crime scene without calling 911 or helping the victim. But it looks like that’s not the case at all.

Matt Ory defended Lacy during his interview with HTV, where he made it pretty clear with a video that proves that Lacy was not the one responsible for the crash. Explaining the entire situation, he said, “The evidence submitted in the report does not support that Kyren Lacy should have known his actions were the cause of the crash that happened approximately 72 yards in front of him.” That statement was more than enough for Lacy’s mother, Kandace Washington, to make a plea on her IG: “WE NEED EVERYONE TO COME OUT FOR Kyren Lacy TOMORROW 💜💛🫶🏽 The James Company ♟️ ♟️”

After months of hustle, they finally received evidence that actually proves that Lacy was innocent. That appeal itself shows a mother’s struggle to finally get justice for her son. And all thanks to Ory, who explained it all. Lacy did pass 4 cars, “However, he was back in his lane of travel 92.3 yards back in his lane behind Mr. Hall. At the time of impact, he’s 72.6 yards behind the vehicles at the time of impact. Key [words] – behind the vehicles. That is not how this story was ever painted. Never.” Ory explained. So, as per the video and Ory’s explanation, Lacy was far away from the accident scene even when he re-entered the lane. That means he was never actually passing when the crash took place.

It’s pretty clear now that Lacy was not overtaking the cars, and Matt Ory’s claims also add to it, contradicting the police reports. He stated that a state trooper tried to change a witness’ initial statement. As the driver of the gold truck first said, the woman behind him caused the accident by merging into the other lane, not Lacy. Even the body camera footage showed that the trooper was instructing the driver to say, “You had to slam on your brakes to avoid that Charger.” The worst part is the driver already admitted on camera that he “wasn’t going fast” and “didn’t even cause any skid marks.” But still his written report stated that he had to brake suddenly.

On top of that, Ory also pointed out that there was another passenger in Lacy’s car who wasn’t questioned at all even when there is a video of this person getting out of the car. All these unanswered questions raise serious doubts, and his mother and attorney are not ready to back out.
