Even before the marquee matchup, Herbstreit has grabbed the headlines over public outcry. On Wednesday evening, he spent some wholesome time with his golden retriever, Peter. Playing fetch with him in a hotel hallway, he shared the video of the same. “Made it to the hotel in Cincy and Peter getting ready for some @NFLonPrime. A lot of energy 😂 #peter.”

But Blutman, who was staying in the same hotel, couldn’t sleep due to the noise caused by their activities. He took it up on X and replied to Kirk’s post. “I was in this hotel. Room 2411. I have an important meeting in the morning and have not been able to get any sleep.” It is universally acknowledged that you need to keep your noise levels down to a minimum when staying at hotels.

Although Kirk Herbstreit had no intention to do so. He was just spending some quality time with his furry buddy. But little did he know, this wholesome moment with his buddy would suck him straight towards a public outcry.

In the comments section, fans were a bit disappointed with his action. One wrote, ” Look, Kirk, we in Cincinnati appreciate you, and we still have Ben in our hearts, but this is getting out of hand. No dog should ever be off a leash, let alone running around freely in a hotel hallway. Some people are allergic, some people have been attacked. Do better.”

Meanwhile, Blutman’s response kicked off another stream of jabs aimed at him. Comments flooded with, “I was in room 2413 right next to you. Your snoring all night kept me up. Should I file a complaint or just b—h on social media about something that no one cares about?”

Meanwhile, if any travel operations broke down, and he couldn’t make it to Dallas on time, analyst Andre Ware was present as a backup. And that’s the crux of criticism, that he faced last week. “ESPN and Kirk Herbstreit need to figure out a better way on Saturdays,” The Athletics’ Andrew Marchand wrote on X,

He continued. “Disrespectful to Andre Ware, screen freezing … and it made the show about him instead of college football.”All of us remember him rushing towards Dallas on a private jet. He left early and was streamed into the show on his way to the airport as well as on the jet.
