I do think he would probably admit he’s probably guilty sometimes of maybe just pressing a little bit, but that’s, that’s a little bit of the evolution from, you know, the role player to a starter. And that’s, and I think Zach is going to make a he’s had a lot of really good plays for us. He had a lot of really good plays, of not a bunch of great blocks.” He added, “He had a couple really big plays. And I think he’s just been like right on the cusp of a few more. So we have a lot of confidence in him, the player he is now and the player he’s going to become.”

Riley further reflected on Branch’s confidence, “He’s got to stay in force. We’re certainly going to stay the course with him. And, you know, keep giving that guy opportunities, because he’s a he’s a heck of a player, and he’s going to get better and better for us.” This support from HC is very important for Branch, as he and the Trojans aim to bounce back this season.

USC struggles against Minnesota, raising concerns
