Ahmad Hudson, the No.1 rated TE of the 2027 class, announced that he will be at the Lincoln Memorial this weekend. Hudson on X wrote, “I’ve been waiting for this weekend for a long time, Nebraska fans, I’m in Lincoln this weekend!!!!! #GBR” with a picture of the Lincoln Memorial Stadium. Hudson will be there for the Nebraska vs USC game on Saturday, which is his first game-day appearance at Memorial Stadium.
Hudson is a top target for Matt Rhule’s Nebraska for the 2027 class. Nebraska has already approached him with an offer, in January 2025, and Hudson had two unofficial visits to Nebraska after the offer. He maintains a good rapport with Matt Rhule and the coaching staff. He also has a good relationship with the Huskers’ 4-star commit Trae Taylor. Both played in Lincoln for the Battle at the Boneyard tournament, taking Miami RAW to the tournament championship.

He has offers from some of the big school programs, as well, but Nebraska, LSU, Texas A&M, and Texas are the primary frontrunners in acquiring the 6-foot-6.5 prospect. On Saturday, he had an unofficial visit to the Tigers Stadium to witness two of his high-priority programs- LSU and Texas A&M battle, where the Aggies defeated LSU by 49-25. Although LSU is considered the biggest threat in this recruitment race, the recent firing of Brian Kelly could be a big setback in his decision-making. This visit is a clear sign for Matt Rhule to use this opportunity to land a commitment from the two-sport standout.

Recently, the TE Ahmad Hudson was officially honored as a 2026 Navy All-American by America’s Navy and NBC Sports representatives during a live jersey presentation as part of the Road to the Dome tour.
