It had been hardly a month before Pilar Sanders cheered on, “MY SON BRANGIN THAT PRESSAHH GO,” as Shilo Sanders made a blast at his NFL preseason debut. The highlight? A blitz straight towards Titans QB Brandon Allen. There was even some serious consideration to get a spot for Shilo on the 53-man roster. However, last weekend, during the preseason finale against the Buffalo Bills, Shilo, who was an undrafted free agent with Tampa Bay, punched Bills tight end Zach Davidson. What followed was his immediate release.

But now, the Buccaneers roster has delivered some more shocking news. “NFL is fining former Buccaneers safety Shilo Sanders $4,669 for unnecessary roughness,” NFL Insider Adam Schefter reported. A biting gut punch indeed. And Pilar’s cryptic message says it all. “It’s all comedy at this point,” she captioned the Instagram story. Presently, Shilo has not been signed by any NFL team.

However, before the final game, coach Todd Bowles was impressed with Shilo’s capabilities. “Shilo’s very aggressive, very young, very hungry,” Bowles said, per USA Today. “He can make plays in the box, and we know he can run down and give us 100% on special teams, so this last week is going to be very important for those guys to show up.” But following the controversy, he did a full 180 on Shilo’s future career. “You can’t throw punches in this league. I mean, that’s inexcusable,” coach Bowles said. “They’re going to get you every time. Got to grow from that.

The Bucs did not include Shilo in the 53-man roster. But the latest intel from CBS’s Brad Crawford chipped in an interesting element regarding the whole episode. “Sanders was competing in fall camp and during the preseason in a deep secondary for the Buccaneers and would’ve likely been a roster casualty regardless of his ejection in last week’s finale,” Crawford wrote.

But that doesn’t put an end to Shilo’s career. He already has plans set in motion for his future The Dallas Cowboys might seem like a viable option for him to land on. Given that Cowboys’ GM Jerry Jones and Deion Sanders speak highly of each other, owing to Prime Time’s stint with the Cowboys in 1995-1999. Jones is further known to give second chances.  Or, he could join Colorado, assist Prime Time over there. So, what is it going to be? He addressed it all in a YouTube video on his channel. Although he cleared that he is not retiring from the NFL, other viable career options also look appealing.

He is prepared to shift his focus towards the entertainment industry, perhaps acting, modeling, or music. Given that the Sanders’ legacy comes with full swagger and charisma, a venture into the entertainment industry won’t be hard to crack.  He already boasts some acting experience, featuring in Season 3 of the TV series, “BMF.” He portrayed the character of a younger Deion Sanders as he navigated both the NFL and MLB during his prime time.

Deion Sanders is not worried following Shilo’s release from Bucs

It had been a challenging time for the Sanders’ during the past few months. Coach Prime was suffering from cancer. While Shilo and Shedeur’s NFL draft developments took its toll. Finally, Sheduer went to the Cleveland Browns, and Shilo signed as an undrafted free agent with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. But last week’s developments led to Shilo going back to square one, without a signed NFL contract yet. But, Coach Prime is not worried.

“He is mentally where he needs to be. Physically, where he needs to be. We’re praying that he gets another opportunity to go with a team, but if he doesn’t, the plans have already been put forward to what he’s going to do next,” Deion Sanders said per Sports Illustrated. He also added that Shilo is a man of many talents and he is going to do well with or without an NFL opportunity pressed on his hands. He is proud of him and he has prepared his kids for everything that could happen in the sports world.
