Set your alarm clocks, Crimson Tide football fans. The Saturday showdown, expected to entertain a sellout crowd of 100,077 fans in Tuscaloosa, will see No. 18 Alabama standing against one Big Ten team before it gets closer to SEC play.

With a Florida State-sized chip on its shoulder, Alabama football will face Wisconsin in Tuscaloosa for the first time ever, hoping to continue its two-win streak over the Badgers. On the other hand, the 2-0 Wisconsin will look forward to testing its development against a fellow Power-Four team like Bama, who had last fallen to the Badgers in 1928.

Gates at Bryant-Denny Stadium will open at 9 a.m., but the catch is that ticket prices for the matchup are still dropping by the minute. Alabama-Wisconsin tickets listed for as little as $14 on SeatGeak and $15 on StubHub,” AL.com’s senior reporter Michael Casagrande reported the unusual dip on X. “An 11 a.m. CT kickoff and temperatures forecasted in the 90s don’t help the market that probably would have been better with a night game.”

Now, comes along TickPick, which has priced them at just $12. Additionally, there’s a condition that can slash the prices further down for all the new users for Tick Pick. They have a $10 new user promo, which drops the final price down to only $2.

Even though the slashed prices of $2 are only for select new online users of the website, the average prices are still lower. For context, when Wisconsin met Alabama last season in Madison, and a sold-out game at that, the ticket prices did drop, with the cheapest ones priced at the $90-range across the resale market two days before the showdown at Camp Randall Stadium. It was one of the biggest non-conference home games in history for Wisconsin, for that matter. However, this time, the reasons are quite apparent.

One reason is the hot Alabama weather. The temperatures are expected to be in the 60s on Saturday morning, but will rise quickly to afternoon highs of 90-95 degrees. Skies will be mostly sunny with dry winds. It’s classic hot, dry Alabama September weather—clear skies and plenty of heat. Nights will cool into the 60s, but during the game, it’s going to feel intense. Another reason for the lower ticket prices might be Alabama’s Week 1 loss to Florida State. While their 73–0 demolition of UL-Monroe steadied nerves, the season opener loss dampened some enthusiasm, and Wisconsin isn’t viewed as a marquee draw for Crimson Tide fans.

On the field, however, the stakes remain significant. Oddsmakers favor Alabama for an easy win. Ryan Williams is expected to be back after missing time in concussion protocol after the week 1 matchup. But Wisconsin, led by backup quarterback Danny O’Neil, has outscored opponents 59–10, allowing barely more than 30 rushing yards per game. O’Neil himself has thrown for 403 yards and 4 touchdowns while completing 76 percent of his passes. Still, he hasn’t faced a defense of Alabama’s caliber.

Cheap tickets or not, Bryant–Denny will host a game that matters, even if only for the teams. For Alabama, it’s about keeping playoff hopes on track after an uneven start. At the same time, for Wisconsin HC Luke Fickell, it’s time to prove that despite not fulfilling expectations last season, his team has improved.
