HE12MAN! Without a doubt, Travis Hunter is one of the most stimulating players in college football. And he’s among the front-runners to win the Heisman Trophy as of this stage in the 2024 campaign. However, he is behind Ashton Jeanty, running back for Boise State. Standing there, Travis Hunter has encountered criticism for presuming him to place higher than Ashton Jeanty in the Heisman Race. While it is good to exhibit confidence, blowing one’s own trumpet can come across as arrogance, as it did for Hunter.

Yes, on October 18, Crain & Company, talked about Travis’ confidence to win the Heisman on their YouTube Channel and one of the hosts stated, “If you’re really trying to win the Heisman and put yourself in a position to win it, it’s a political thing.” Moreover, he mentioned, “I don’t hate this, but I feel like if you’re really trying to get it to win it, I think there was a better way you could have had.” Supporting this thought another host stated, “Just a little bit of a humble pie would help you a lot. Just be humble a little bit about what you do, Travis. And I know you’re a dog and you’re gonna make a lot of money. You’re making a lot of money right now. But sooner or later, man, sometimes you just got to tip your cap, you know.

Well, back on the Outta Pocket podcast with Robert Griffin III, Hunter emphasized how his two-way performance stands him apart from conventional contenders like Jeanty and voiced confidence, stating, “I mean y’all see Ashton Jeanty, it’s not like we haven’t seen a running back that’s good. We haven’t seen a player that plays both ways and I’m gonna keep saying that.” Woah Travis, alright mate, we get it! Although we all know why Travis is who he is, looking at the NIL, his stats, his stardom, at a young age the glamour can be a threat! Nevertheless, his decision to prioritize his own stats over another star athlete appears to be a calculated move.

It indicates that everyone agrees with Travis Hunter’s underlying sentiment, but pointing out Jeanty’s number and considering his fewer opportunities on offense are not acceptable. In just six games, Jeanty has now amassed an incredible 1,248 running yards and 17 touchdowns, which is quite incredible. On the other hand, we know how talented and versatile a player Travis is, who has played 322 offensive snaps and 341 defensive snaps, in six games. So, both the players must continue to put up outstanding performances, for a chance to win the prestigious trophy.

However, regarding performance, the question remains; will Travis be available for Colorado in their upcoming match versus Arizona following his injury?

Travis Hunter’s injury update

The scene of “injury” has been rather peculiar. Although Deion Sanders stated that Hunter was ready to play against Arizona, Hunter has not yet provided any insightful remarks. But hold on! When Hunter posted a picture of himself on Instagram with the Saturn emoji in the description, his followers went into an immediate frenzy. You know, the post isn’t really revolutionary or anything. So, people find everything that has happened during the last several hours baffling.

However, the wide receiver gave a rather cryptic response when questioned about his injuries during an interview on the Travis Hunter Show. “They’ll work it out,” Hunter said. Come on, brother, figure it out. Please let us know if you plan to return. In that episode, Hunter made it apparent that he wanted to concentrate on what was coming up next. What does the Saturn emoji actually represent, though? You know, all that, Saturday, Saturn, etc.
