Ohio State’s recruitment successes might get the program a Top-5 finish in the 2026 cycle, according to Rivals’ Steve Wiltfong. The Buckeyes pulled off a massive flip from Tennessee in 4-star athlete, Legend Bey. One of the most powerful talents out of Texas, who plays at a variety of positions. Him picking OSU means a whole lot for the front office. Now, the Buckeyes will use this added advantage to pursue more flips.

In a November 10 episode of Wiltfong Whiparound, the analyst said that Ohio State is looking at 4-star CB CJ Bronaugh (Florida), 3-star LBs Ja’Dyn Williams (Indiana) and Braxton Rembert (Wake Forest), and 4-star IOL Kevin Brown (Penn State). All of them are giving off a mix of vibes, based on how their relationship with OSU is faring. But Legend Bey’s flip to Ohio State gives a serious push to the Buckeyes’ efforts.

Bey is ranked as the 9 best athlete of the 2026 class by Rivals. He currently plays as QB in his prep career, but word is that he wants to play as a WR in college. Moreover, he can be an absolute weapon in the back field as well. His 40-yard time of 4.33 seconds is also something makes him a very attractive player. The Texas star has racked up more than 3500 passing yards, and rushed for more than 4000. And because OSU is the place to go to become a top WR, Bey turned his sights towards Ryan Day. His commitment is a massive steal for Ohio State.

Bronagh is visiting Columbus, and Florida is easily losing its charm. Wiltfong mentioned that Williams will be hard to flip, because Indiana has suddenly become an attractive destination. Rembert was offered one only this fall, but OSU is clearly a big player when compared to Wake Forest. Brown is a difficult target, since he might be leaning towards his home program of West Virginia. But he did visit Columbus last weekend. Whatever the case is with all 4 of these targets, Legend Bey’s commitment could now move the needle a little bit for all of them.

Ohio State seems to be on a roll with flipping targets. And now that such an attractive name has joined them, flipping prospects might have become a cakewalk for Ohio State. Legend Bey is simply yet another win amid OSU’s ongoing recruit-flipping streak.

Flipping streak already underway at Ohio State

Legend Bey had committed to Tennessee this June. But a visit to the OSU-PSU clash is what made Columbus look like a better home. He flipped his pledge on November 10th, becoming the 4 such flip in just 5 days. Now, there are 6 total flip commits in Ohio State’s 2026 class. Bey is among the lucrative names in this group.

Bey’s commitment came after Jay Timmons (FSU), Emanuel Ruffin (Colorado), Khmari Bing (Maryland), Mason Wilhelm (North Carolina) and Landry Brede (NC State) switched to Ohio State. The Buckeyes landed Timmons on 6 November, Wilhelm on the 7, Ruffin on the 9. With Legend Bey, this streak is definitely going to attract more players. It can also push Ohio State up from its No. 7 rank in the 2026 cycle, becoming an even more powerful recruiting force.

“They mean business,” Legend Bey told Rivals after announcing his flip. That motto is something Ohio State is most definitely using to pursue all these elite targets. How many more flips are going to follow the star prospect to Columbus?
