Okay, so, the Hoosiers. We gotta talk about them. Indiana is on a 9-win run, and this is wild. What Curt Cignetti has managed to get done with a new quarterback on offense is something any other program would drool over. People had a lot to say. Some noted that Curt Cignetti has yet to face a challenge on the schedule, but then the Huskers game happened, and the rest is history. 56-7 win over a team which had arguably one of the best rush defense in the country? Indian has turned into the next big playoff team and this journey from being the underdogs to hitting the No.8 spot on the CFP playoff list has been quite a spectacle.

But now, a program on the rise has to make some tough decisions. And that is exactly what the Hoosiers have done in regards to their 2025 roster. Back on Instagram, Hoosiers Recruiting shared an update. “Indiana will no longer recruit 5-star QB in 2025, Julian Lewis,” Hoosiers recruiting posted. Now, this is wild. If you didn’t know, Julian Lewis or Juju has to be one of the best QBs in the 2025 class. His demand was so high that USC, Indiana, and Colorado were stuck in a tug of war to secure the Juju fever of their class. When you dive deeper, the reason why Indiana backed off from this entire commitment war is wild.

“We are a program severely on the rise, and having a starting freshman at QB isn’t the move for us,” Hoosiers Recruiting mentioned in their story. Ouch. See, Lewis ain’t no ordinary freshman. This dude already has gotten the most accurate passer title from Elite11, and the amount of hype behind him speaks volumes regarding his skill and talent on that turf.

However, the point Indiana made also stands true. When was the last time you saw the Hoosiers running the season with zero losses? Even last season, this team was standing on a 3-win, 9-loss run. They were worse than the Colorado Buffs and Deion Sanders roster.

Cignetti has turned everything around, and now they rank in the No.1 spot on the Big 10 list. This entire thing points to 2 outcomes. See, with Hoosiers out of the run, Lewis can now pick between the Trojans and the Buffs. Currently, the 5-star is already committed to USC, but that could change. More so because Hoosiers Recruiting themselves dropped a hint on their story;
“He will likely be heading to Colorado.”

Is Deion Sanders going to be blessed with the perfect replacement?

See, we all know that Deion Sanders is about to lose some of his best players to the 2025 NFL draft. The most important one would be Shedeur Sanders, and Coach Prime desperately needs a replacement. We already know that Lewis and Shedeur get along really well. And in terms of stats? Lewis is the perfect replacement for Shedeur. Juju has managed to hold a 66% completion rate along with a 140 QB rating.

Shedeur, back in 2023, almost had the same stats with a completion rate of around 69%. Juju, as the new QB, makes sense. We even spotted the kid on the sideline watching the Buffs dominating win over the Bearcats.

Even back in August, Philip Dukes made a prediction on The Inside Scoop that Deion Sanders had the best bet at bringing in Lewis. For now, we are yet to see any updates from Buffs or Coach Prime. And you also gotta keep in mind that Lincoln Riley is still in the race. At the end of the day, anything can happen.
