Deion Sanders, the man who always played life at his own tempo, is entering a new rhythm. With Shedeur all set for a first-round splash and Shilo ready to make his mark in the pro league, the Sanders family is on the cusp of a major shift. As the draft looms, Coach Prime is juggling fatherhood with his mission to elevate the Colorado Buffaloes. It’s a high-wire act, but don’t bet against Prime Time. Well, he’s always been a showman, on and off the field.

Now that Deion Sanders is all in on shaping the future of the CU Buffs, what’s the first step? Having deep talks with 2025 recruits about what’s next for the program. The energy in Boulder is electric as Coach Prime prepares for a new era. “I can’t I can’t explain how happy and how thoughtful and how thankful I am for this day. I’ve been praying about this day. I’ve been anticipating this day,” he declared, amplifying the excitement.

But beneath the surface, there’s a tinge of emotion. “You gotta understand, it’s emotional,” Coach Prime admitted. “This is the first day I’ve been up here without two couple heads, and then I’m looking back. Shilo told I was gonna get mad at him for not being in the meeting today. No, he don’t supposed to be in the meeting today. So but this is the first day of coaching without my boys, which is a pleasure and honor for me.” Sure, the Buffs will be a different team without their star players.

Well, the Buffs’ future is bright though! And Deion Sanders is putting in the work to make sure 2025 recruits feel that energy and appreciate their presence. Coach Prime said, “So now I love that, but I feel like I’m going to treat somebody in here for the multitude again, like you yourself. There’s that much because you didn’t choose anybody, but you chose us, and I feel like you chose me, so I’m proud of it.”

Coach Prime already shook things up in Boulder when he landed 5-star QB Julian Lewis, and now he’s bringing in veteran QB Kaidon Salter to bolster the offense. In a way, his roster-building moves are making the NFL whispers fade away. Looks like he’s here to stay in Boulder.

However, things aren’t as clear-cut as they seem, especially after the Raiders’ draft slide from the No. 1 draft pick might have thrown a wrench in the works, but the Sanders saga is far from over. With Shedeur and Shilo poised for NFL stardom, the lines between family and football are blurring more than ever.

What’s your perspective on:

Can Coach Prime's vision for the Buffs overcome the emotional void left by his sons' absence?

Have an interesting take?

Is Deion Sanders really leaving for the NFL?

Well, the rumors won’t die down! While Coach Prime’s all about Colorado, the NFL keeps calling. See, knowing the fact that six pro league teams are currently without a head coach, rumors are swirling that Deion Sanders might be making the jump to one of those teams. However, the Las Vegas Raiders are at the top of the list. As speculation grows, all eyes are on what Sanders will decide, especially with his son Shedeur’s draft potential in play.

On the other hand, Deion Sanders has made it clear: the NFL is only an option if he can coach his sons. “You know what, The only way I would consider, is to coach my sons. Not son. SONS,” he emphasized. Now, with Shedeur projected as a top-three draft pick, the Titans are a real contender. Imagine: Shedeur in Tennessee, and Coach Prime on the sidelines? It could happen. But what about Shilo? While Shedeur’s a hot commodity, Shilo’s NFL future is still a bit of a mystery.

“Wherever I go, I’m supposed to be there,” Coach Prime said, and his philosophy has transformed Colorado. He’s brought a winning mentality and a renewed energy to the program. And let’s not forget that reporter Vincent Bonsignore mentioned Coach Prime has a “very strong interest” in the Raiders. The NFL whispers are definitely out there.

With a $30 million contract and a championship on his mind, Colorado is clearly his focus right now. But the allure of the NFL, especially with the possibility of coaching his sons, is undeniable. Will he stay true to his word and build a dynasty in Boulder, or will the lure of the NFL prove too strong?
