The rumors about Shedeur Sanders landing with the Las Vegas Raiders continue. In the NFL, not many teams are faring as badly as the Las Vegas Raiders who are 2-5 into the season after their third consecutive loss to the Los Angeles Rams. But do you know what it would take to revive this dying program? Let’s hear it from an expert.

For CBS Sports HQ analyst Todd Fuhrman, the best way to revive the Raiders is to follow a four-step process. As he revealed on his X account on October 21, the four steps are — “1) tank to go 2-15 2) draft Shedeur Sanders 3) hire Deion as head coach 4) create buzz and become relevant again.

This came after Shedeur Sanders recently liked an IG post of Tom Brady’s minority stake purchase in the Raiders, leaving some to speculate that Las Vegas could be where he’s hoping to go. Another interesting thing that Raiders defender Maxx Crosby revealed about Shedeur on The Rush podcast was the close relationship they share. He said, “I’ve known that family for a long time. Me and Shedeur, we’ve been cool for a long time. He shot me a FaceTime, he’s chillin’ and we were just talking about his game and everything.”

Shedeur Sanders is a projected first-round pick and a coveted asset for QB-dilemma teams like the Raiders. We can only imagine the scenario where the Raiders draft Shedeur and Deion Sanders as well. There will be an automatic buzz. But is it a realistic scenario? The Buffs HC has made it clear that he rather teach young men whom he has influence over than professionals, who are usually more cocky and difficult to deal with. But we’ll see where it goes. Shedeur, meanwhile, continues to prove why he’s a projected top pick.

Shedeur Sanders is a worthy first-rounder

Shedeur Sanders immediately made his mark when he arrived in Colorado with Deion Sanders in 2023. Sure, they may not have had a fruitful season as they faced lots of pressure but the Buffs QB remained resilient and still managed to secure above-average records with 3,230 yards and 27 touchdowns. But this season, he’s living up to his hype by completing 72.2% of his passes for 2,268 yards and 19 touchdowns through Week 8.

Shedeur Sanders is already the top quarterback prospect in the 2025 NFL Draft according to some analysts including Colin Cowherd. The Buffs QB is also predicted to go to the Raiders as the first QB in a recent mock draft by FOX Sports NFL Draft expert Rob Rang. Joel Klatt even believes that the 22-year-old could be the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. What are your thoughts on Shedeur Sanders?
