Shedeur Sanders hasn’t played a real NFL snap yet, but somehow, he’s already shifting lives in Cleveland. And the wild part? It has nothing to do with Kevin Stefanski or even Browns’ QB depth charts. While Deion Sanders is dealing with his own storm and frustration at Colorado, Shedeur just did something so genuine and so unexpected while going through his own trials and tribulations. It instantly had Prime-Time bursting with pride and thanking God.

After joining the Cleveland Browns in the NFL, Shedeur partnered with a local auto group and a news station, Fox 8, for a community giveaway. They wanted to give a car to someone in need in the Cleveland area. Shedeur finally dials the deserving winner.

During a heartwarming phone call, Shedeur Sanders surprised a hardworking local woman with life-changing news. Fighting back tears, the woman could hardly believe what she was hearing as Shedeur explained, “Your kids nominated you to get this free car. We just want to help you out.” His kindness and sincerity shone through as he reassured her, “It’s okay, don’t cry. Don’t worry about it, we’re gonna take care of you.”

The woman said she’s been walking to work and catching Ubers to get by. She also said that she’s rooting for Sanders to get his time to shine with the Browns. “I love the Eagles but I want to see Shedeur soar. That’s been my motto since Day 1,” she said. Shedeur Sanders kept it real: “God works in mysterious ways,” he told her, reminding her that blessings often come when least expected. Humbly, he added, “I’m just a messenger,” making it clear that his goal was simply to spread kindness and hope. You can imagine how thrilled she was. Another reason for us to root for Shedeur Sanders. That had Deion Sanders’ proud on IG, commented: “Thank u Jesus.”

The nomination process for the community giveaway was open to the public, and people could log onto Fox8.com to nominate a deserving individual in Northeast Ohio. Sanders and his partners then reviewed the nominations and selected the winner based on need and the impact the car would have on their life. The winner of the giveaway got to choose between a brand new Hyundai Elantra or a Kia K4.

This isn’t the first time Sheduer Sanders’ gifted the car. Back in December 2024, when he was finishing up his college career at the University of Colorado, Shedeur decided to hook up his offensive lineman, Jordan Seaton. Why? Because Seaton did a great job protecting him all season. As a “thank you,” Shedeur gifted him a super luxurious Mercedes-Maybach S-Class, a car worth around $200,000! Shedeur even joked that since Jordan “protect[s] the backside,” he had to get the “Bach” (Maybach). Shedeur Sanders continues to make a difference in the community, but he’s still waiting for his chance to play on the field.

Kevin Stefanski is hell-bent on not playing Shedeur Sanders

The former Colorado star and fifth-round draft pick has been the backup to fellow rookie Dillon Gabriel for the past four weeks, and that will stay the same when the Browns face the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday. While Sanders stays ready, fans are eager to see what he can bring to the offense once he gets his opportunity.

The Browns franchise never seems to catch a break. As expected, they are 2-7 in the NFL.Gabriel has struggled in his five starts this season, including the 27–20 loss to the New York Jets. He has thrown for 869 yards, seven touchdowns, and two interceptions, but the Browns’ offense has been up and down.

Against the Jets, Gabriel completed 17 of 32 passes for 167 yards and two touchdowns, but missed several important throws that cost the team. His mistakes and the offense’s inconsistency have become frustrating for both teammates and coaches.

Head coach Kevin Stefanski admitted that Gabriel can play better but said he’ll remain the starter for now. When asked about Sanders possibly getting playing time coming from the back injury, Stefanski said there’s no set timeline. “We’re committed to getting better as an offense,” he explained. “Dillon is improving, and all of our young players, including Shedeur, are working hard every day to get better.” For now, Sanders will keep learning and preparing for the moment his number is called.
