The constant struggle to escape her father’s shadow. While most fans might think that being born as Deion Sanders kid is a good thing, in hindsight, there is a lot of downside to it. Any industry will plant you as “Oh he/she is Coach Prime’s” kid”—what about your own identity? When Shelomi Sanders decided to move out of Buffs and leave for Alabama A&M, she took the first step of carving out her own “brand,” and while Deion wasn’t exactly happy with the decision (in the beginning), the father-daughter duo have now settled the bad blood. And while Shelomi Sanders still has a long way to go to get her dad’s “favorite child” spot, she did manage to get a sneaky one-up over her brothers.

“@deionsanders surprised me with flowers. I love you,” Shelomi shared on her IG story while posing with a gorgeous bouquet of roses. We admit that even we are jealous. Where are our Valentine’s Day flowers, man? Anyway, this was a pleasant surprise from Coach Prime. You know what they say, right? The way to a woman’s heart is through flowers, and Deion is a mastermind when it comes to pleasing people around him. While we did think he would do something grand for his daughter, this gesture is also very acceptable.

Kind of funny how both of them constantly keep taking friendly jabs at each other. Remember Shelomi’s selfie? She was pouting while sporting her Alabama gear when Deion sneaked into the comment section and wrote, “No.” No more pouting in the Sanders household—unfortunate.

Oh, but don’t let that fool you into thinking Shelomi is innocent. “Parent rankings coming out soon…. It’s not looking good for you, primetime,” the young basketball star had written in the caption of her Instagram post. The clip featured another friendly banter where Coach Prime was flexing his MRE Bar x Deion Sanders collab, and Shelomi definitely didn’t like it….

Well, as of now, it is very clear that Deion still hasn’t cracked the “Parent rankings”. While the roses will get him close to the No.1 spot, we all know who truly holds it.

When things got bad with Deion, Pilar instantly stepped in to make sure that her daughter was doing good. Now, on V-day, we found the mother-daughter duo enjoying the Valentine’s moment with some sweet gestures. Pilar shared an interesting IG story with a flower bouquet and a box of donuts and cookies.

‘Good things come in a pink box’ was the message written on the box. Pilar didn’t waste any time in tagging Shelomi and wishing her “Happy Valentine’s Day.” Looks like while Deion was busy picking roses for Shelomi, she was busy packing cookies and donuts for Pilar.
