When it comes to the Michigan Wolverines, fans have been taken up and down by season so far. Some lows and highs are eventually followed by the word on the street that a new hope exists in the person of a player who might well revolutionize the fortunes of the Wolverines.  Recent performances prove that he can contribute a lot to the offense of the Wolverines who are desperately in need of a fresh start.

We only have one recruit featured, that recruit happens to be four-star running back commit Jasper Parker from Louisiana who has been racking up ridiculous stats. There have been waves in the field by Parker. Only last week he had to break 326-yard barriers (rushed for) and score two touchdowns. Then just last weekend, he topped that in another performance of 181 yards and two more touchdowns.

Performances of this nature are the kind that get the attention of scouts immediately. Not only is he a star for his high school team but he has become one of the most sought-after running backs in his shoes, rising from a three-star to a four-star rating.

“Jasper Parker has been going off right now,” as Michigan Sports Talk Host said in a video posted on the Michigan Sports Talk YouTube channel. “He could be next up as he has been putting up some crazy numbers.” Parker has bagged 1330 yards and nine touchdowns while playing only five games, and his primary strength is that he likes to run and can break through tackles.

Making it even more interesting is the possibility of Parker joining fellow running back pledge, Donovan Johnson who is also from IMG Academy. Johnson has also had his fair share of injuries but of late he has looked very promising. “You go ahead and pair him with the other running back commit from IMG Academy, Donovan Johnson,” the analyst continued, “this could be a very good running back duo for Michigan in the future.”

A rising star in the backfield: Jasper Parker

Pairing these two and having them work in the field could be the recipe that Michigan needs to bring an extra spark and power to their current offense. They did catch some attention at High school, while at the same time, this year’s offense of Michigan has not been really good. They must get some new ideas and enthusiasm to regain their flow. Even Jack Tuttle, who was the starting quarterback after the first game against Washington, knew it. Turtle mentioned, “I only had one week of practice heading into the Washington game.”  He intends to take something out of this experience and has his sights set on helping to bring life to the Wolverines’ offense during the bye week.

As the Wolverines stay on break before facing Illinois, the team has to work on the unification of thought processes as well such unification of strategies. The coaching staff that is headed by Sherrone Moore must be doing anything in their attainable ability to see to it that offensively problematic and the requisite potential of the new talents are ironed out.

In conclusion, a performance in the two recent games has indicated that Jasper Parker might be an asset to the Michigan team that needs to get over their tactful troubles.
