On their way to school, the trio—Shelomi, Shilo, and Shedeur—would take turns leading the family prayer. As the kids looked out of the car, they would thank God for the beautiful sky, and the green pastures where they would sometimes spot puppies running. When ‘Bossy’ would finish her turn leading the prayers, she would turn around and look her brothers in the eye and issue a challenge, “Beat that!” And the following day, the next in line would try to say a better prayer. That’s where their competitiveness started.
“It was just a competition with us in everything,” Shelomi once said, remembering the old days. “Yeah, even in prayer. I’m surprised my dad hasn’t told that story yet.” But alas! There is something that Shelomi can never beat her brothers at.
She is the youngest of them all and no matter what, the brothers can always hold it against her. Regardless, last year, Shelomi Sanders conquered an important milestone by turning 20. Why is that important? Well, with her entering her 20s, Deion Sanders didn’t have any kid who was a teenager.

Now, on December 14, she will turn 21 and the Alabama A&M player is quite excited about it. Her latest Instagram story will confirm this.
On Nov 26, Shelomi Sanders took to her IG story with a selfie, flexing the peace sign. She wrote, “Birthday is literally tmr like omgg 🤭,” and also a countdown of her B’day. “21!!! 🥳😆 Countdown: 18 days.”
While she will turn 21 soon, Shilo is currently 24 and Shedeur is 22. And we are sure that Deion Sanders will have a lot to talk about his dear daughter this year, too. On her last birthday, he stated, “I pray that you enjoyed this beautiful day and continue to be the light that God called you to be.” But things didn’t stop there. ‘Prime Time’ temporarily updated the power rankings of his kids.
“You’re ranked second behind Shilo Sanders by the way. [Wait] this just in, I changed my mind, Shelomi is #1…” Deion Sanders joked. We wonder if that will happen once again on Shelomi’s birthday.

But moving further, off the court, Shelomi’s IG presence has been as sharp as her game. But on it? She’s a star that’s on the rise. The Alabama A&M Bulldogs guard had made waves during her debut game with the school: scored a career-high 14 points in just 10 mins on the court, in their dominating 96-50 victory over Oakwood.

Coach Prime’s old birthday advice to Shelomi Sanders
Here’s where the Sanders humor shines. A couple of years ago, just before her 19th birthday, Shelomi approached her dad with a straightforward request: Obviously, it was a gift and money. When she pressed her father to set a birthday limit for her money, ‘Coach Prime’ had a hilarious response. “I think $5,” he said as Shelomi burst out laughing.

Shelomi wasn’t gonna let him play her like that and she pushed for more. Deion Sanders then dropped a truth bomb, though in a playful manner, and stated, “Baby, I think you’re too old for real gifts. There’s a certain age when big gifts stop.”
For a man worth $50 million, it wasn’t just about the money but teaching his kids to understand the values. Shelomi might have rolled her eyes with ‘ahh dad, not again!’ but you know those words stuck with her. Since then, Shelomi Sanders has come a long way. Now she’s an independent woman who knows how to make her own decisions. She even decided to leave Colorado for Alabama and though her father wasn’t happy with her decision, he eventually came around.
Additionally, she has nice NIL deals going on with Meta, Instagram, KFC, Dexcom U, and others. Now as her birthday rolls in next month, we wonder what advice Deion Sanders will have for her. What do you think?
