Well, it’s a no-brainer that the Texas Longhorns have struggled on offense despite having a top 10 ranking and a 2-1 start. And numbers don’t lie either; with 200.3 passing offense and 128.73 passing efficiency, Steve Sarkisian‘s team isn’t breathing fire. This game against Sam Houston can change that entirely, as Texas QB Arch Manning might finally get a chance to improve his stats against a team that’s giving up 300 yards per game. But despite the intensity of the game, it turned into something deeper: a heartfelt father-daughter connection between Sarkisian and his daughter before the game kicked off. Now, with his family by his side, he might finally show what they are capable of.

We know Loreal Sarkisian would be the person showing up for Coach Sark in every game to support him, but even his kids don’t let a single moment go by without making their father feel special. And this time it’s Ashley Sarkisian who’s turning up on the sidelines to support her dad. But before getting into the game, Ashley made sure he didn’t get into the field without a hug, and that sealed the deal for every Longhorns fan. As sports reporter Core Mose hits X with the video of that cute moment, saying, “Coach Sarkisian stops to hug his daughter, who is in law school at Texas, while arriving to the stadium.”

While Ashley Sarkisian lives a very low-key life, her achievements have always made a buzz. Growing up in Los Angeles, California, Ashley’s childhood was shaped by two strong personalities: her father’s football aspirations and her mother Stephanie Sarkisian‘s educational background. And her mother’s teaching background made her keen towards learning. And the result? She is now a J.D. candidate at the University of Texas School of Law. Yes, both father and daughter are finally under the same roof.

Before getting into Texas Law School, Ashley Sarkisian was already on fire with her academic success. She was a student at New York University (NYU), majoring in international relations, with minors in Spanish and Portuguese. Imagine how smart she is, as this combination reflects her interest in learning global languages. And also her curiosity for learning different cultures, which builds bridges across communities. No wonder she’s a law student, and her biggest achievement? Getting an undergraduate research assistant internship at NYU. Crazy, right?

When most of us hustle hard to find a perfect career path for us, she was already assisting her faculty members of NYU’s Department of History and Department of Spanish in the development and training of an AI model. It’s clear Ashley isn’t behind fame; she is behind making an impact through meaningful change. So, what are her career aspirations? She is working in non-governmental organizations or getting into global education programs, and she is already taking a step towards it.

But on one side, Ashley’s career is moving forward in a better direction, whereas her brother, Brady Sarkisian, is still waiting to take the reins at Texas.

Steve Sarkisian’s son’s long wait to start at Texas

Unlike Ashley Sarkisian, who has no ties with football other than her family ties, Brady Sarkisian is a second-year linebacker for the Longhorns, and he’s a junior this season. So, it’s been two years since Brady joined the team, but he didn’t see any action in 2023, and even last season, he just played in 2 games. He only saw some game action against Colorado State and UTSA. But why so? Is Steve Sarkisian not willing to make his son public eye candy anytime soon?

Well, whatever might be the case, when he got into the field last season, even Sarkisian couldn’t help but praise his skills. “When he got in tonight, I took my headset off, and I played Dad for about three plays,” Sarkisian said. “I just watched my son play football at the University of Texas. That was really awesome.”

Not starting a guy like him doesn’t make much sense either, as his resume speaks volumes of his excellence. Coming in from Del Mar High School, Brady Sarkisian recorded 33 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, five sacks, and two pass breakups in his senior year. Throughout his HS career, he recorded 65 tackles, 18 tackles for loss, and 7.5 sacks, and that’s no small feat.

Now, the entire Longhorn fan base awaits his presence on the field; let’s wait and see when that happens.
