A law enforcement official’s shocking behavior has led to a massive uproar. Wide receiver Nyck Harbor had another South Carolina player who was on their way back to the sidelines when the incident unfolded.

During the second quarter, quarterback LaNorris Sellers threw a dart to Nyck Harbor, who caught it at the 35-yard line, then rushed towards the end zone, completing the 80-yard touchdown. South Carolina had the upper hand, 27-3, against the undefeated Aggies. After the celebratory feat, Harbor went down the tunnel, seemingly grabbing his right leg. Soon, running back Oscar Adaway III and other teammates followed him there.

After a while, when Nyck emerged from the tunnel, along with his teammates, a state trooper, who was heading towards the tunnel, happened to bump into him. Taken by surprise, the wide receiver seemingly shrugged it off, but the officer didn’t let go easily and was seen giving him an earful, pointing his fingers in his face. Nyck’s teammate nudged him, and the players headed towards the field.

Following the incident, social media erupted with criticism regarding the official’s unruly behavior towards the South Carolina players. Even LeBron James called for quick action regarding the official.  “That A&M cop needs to suspended! That was premeditated and corny AF!! 🤦🏾‍♂️. He went out his way to start some shit. Do better man,” he wrote on X.

The incident went viral online and has amassed widespread condemnation.

Soon enough, the Texas A&M police’s official X account shared that the concerned official has been relieved from his duties. “We are aware of the incident in the NE tunnel involving a DPS trooper. He has been relieved of his game day assignment.”

The incident has further grabbed the attention of “Our Office of Inspector General (OIG),” who will personally look into the matter. No additional information regarding the development has been available.

Massive uproar boils over against the police officer

The Aggies fans had already been dealing with a fresh dose of frustration piling up on their plates following their team’s performance in the first half when the cop incident poured another pump of gasoline over their woes. They did not hesitate in calling out the unruly behavior and tagged the official handles for the episode to come into the spotlight. “Officer Chad Thundercock really had an issue with that,” commented an individual.

The incident has caused massive uproar as the comments section is filled with criticism over the in-game incident. It appeared provocative on the official’s part, and college football fans are not having it. “I back the blue but the cop is a dips-it,” wrote another social media user.

The official’s action goes against the spirit of true sportsmanship and ethics. “My guess is that the cop will be looking for a job on Monday.” Another individual commented, “lol Cop split them and threw the shoulder and then got mad about it. 😆😆😆😆.”
