A bad game brings out the true colors of players. Remember when Travis Hunter displayed frustration on the field amid a losing game against the Nebraska Cornhuskers in Week 2? That’s physical frustration for you, but Shedeur Sanders’ way of displaying his emotions is a stark contrast to Hunter’s erratic act.

After the grim 28-10 result in the Colorado vs. Nebraska game, Shedeur Sanders couldn’t keep the little voice of frustration inside his head. He openly criticized his teammates for their dismal performance, which earned him all the wrong sorts of attention. Following that headline, Travis Hunter also gave his verbal verdict on the game.

Unlike Shedeur, Travis Hunter had a more mature reaction to the Week 2 loss. An X user uploaded an excerpt from his discussion on The Travis Hunter Show on September 11. This is how he views the game at Memorial Stadium, “Nebraska is a good team. They beat us fair and square. And we just gotta come out and do better. We gotta play Colorado football and that’s not Colorado football.”

Colorado played like a total mess in the last game. Shedeur Sanders completed 23 of 38 passes for 244 yards and a touchdown while receiving multiple hits and five sacks. On the receiving end, Travis Hunter was the only productive one with 10 catches for 110 yards. Rushing yards? Only 12! This led an agitated Shedeur to blame the offense.

Shedeur Sanders blames teammates for Nebraska loss

Shedeur Sanders’ reasoning for the Nebraska loss stems from the incompetence of the O-line, as he said, “I wasn’t protected like I needed to be. The O-line just didn’t give me the time to make plays.” The 22-year-old also threw shade on freshman WR Drelon Miller, saying, “It was a rookie mistake on his part. He ran the wrong route.” And that’s not the only shocking thing that raised eyebrows.

With two minutes remaining in the game, Shedeur Sanders left the field instead of shaking hands with the Cornhuskers after the game. These actions and confessions didn’t win the Buffs’ QB fans’ favor and support, as they showed his lack of accountability and tendency to point fingers at teammates, which is very unsportsmanlike. Hopefully, there won’t be hurt feelings among the Buffs because, with 10 games remaining, they need to stay united to win.
