On December 4, the college football transfer portal swung wide open. Players across the nation officially entered, exploring their next move for the 2025 season. This was the winter window, running until January 2. But the action won’t stop there. Although, a second wave is coming from April 15–30, in the past few weeks, the portal has been a frenzy. Transfers are shaking up rosters at every FBS program. And now, a 325-pound beast has just entered the mix.

According to Pete Nakos’ X post on On3, Mathyus Su’a, the starting offensive tackle for UNLV, has registered as a graduate transfer on the transfer portal for the 6th year of College Football. Over the past two seasons, the 6-feet-3, 325-lb player has participated in 26 UNLV games. Hailing from Las Vegas, he started to establish himself on the field while attending Bishop Gorman High School.

Safe to say, Su’a built his reputation as a rock-solid offensive guard. At Western Colorado, he dominated the trenches, earning RMAC First Team All-Conference honors in 2022. He suited up for all 11 games, proving his skill and reliability. But he wasn’t done yet. Hungry for bigger challenges, he transferred to UNLV, chasing his Division I dream. As a senior OL for the Rebels, his mission was clear—earn his spot and make an impact. And he didn’t just grind on the field. In spring 2024, he made the UNLV Dean’s Honor List, showing he’s just as sharp in the classroom as he is in the game.

As of now, it’s anyone’s guess where this 325-pound beast will land. But you can bet powerhouse programs are eyeing him. The question is—are his numbers worth the buzz? While exact stats are under wraps, his impact speaks volumes. Su’a earned his first letter as a Rebel, playing in all 14 games. A summer addition through the transfer portal, he didn’t just show up—he earned immediate playing time. His journey’s just beginning, and the clock’s ticking for the next chapter.

However, the transfer portal is loaded with offensive linemen like Su’a, ready to shake up the game. Teams have no shortage of options to beef up their line with these powerhouse players.

Several notable offensive linemen have recently entered the transfer portal, looking for new opportunities. Among them are Sam Pendleton from Notre Dame, a versatile player with multiple years of eligibility left. And Ty Chan, another lineman from Notre Dame seeking fresh challenges. But this is not the end for Notre Dame.

There is Rocco Spindler, a seasoned offensive lineman, and Pat Coogan. Both from Notre Dame have also entered the portal. Additionally, Jordan Brown, a 6’5″, 310-pound offensive lineman from Georgia Tech, is now available, bringing impressive size and experience.
