Cubuffsfootball posted a slideshow of the Buffs players on Instagram on October 13 with the caption, “Ready for the night.” In the first slide was a picture of Travis Hunter who was seen embracing his young fans as the fans looked on from the seats. The second slide echoed Hunter’s Heisman desires as a fan raised a banner with the words “Travis 4 Heisman #12.”

Travis Hunter is no short of fans and he deserves it more than anybody else for his skills and versatility. Right from their season opener against NDSU, he has impressed fans, players, and analysts with his unreal plays shooting his Heisman odds up. Despite the loss to Nebraska in Week 2, Hunter recorded no less than 100 receiving yards in each of the first four games played.
In his last game against UCF in Week 5, Hunter may not have emulated his previous records with 89 yards but he struck the Heisman pose in the end zone after intercepting the Knights’ QB KJ Jefferson. Through five games, he’s already recorded 46 catches for 561 yards and six TDs. Can he uphold his Heisman odds with another win against No. 18 Kansas State?

Can Colorado win over Kansas State?
Just a few minutes before the game. There’s a frenzy of excitement in the seats of Folsom Field as Colorado gears up to face their first ranked opponent of the season. The hype is that the Buffs boast two Heisman contenders in Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders. But can their defense tackle Kansas State’s No. 13 rushing unit? Shilo Sanders will also be on the field after missing three games.
Both the Big 12 teams are coming in with a 4-1 record. If the Buffs win this game, they’ll be ranked on the AP Poll rankings while their hopes for a conference title become more realistic. Deion Sanders is aware of the threat that the Wildcats possess as he said on ESPN’s College GameDay ahead of their clash, “This team [Kansas State] is well-coached, they don’t make a lot of mistakes, they’re not penalized a lot. We’re going to have to beat them.” Kansas State takes the edge in this upcoming game as a 5.5-point favorite. But let’s put the predictions aside, the real action is about to go off in just a moment. Let’s see who will be the Big 12 leader of Week 7.
