Travis Hunter is now ready to be the next NFL guy following a roller coaster draft ride. Just a few weeks back, the Jacksonville Jaguars traded up to pick the 2024 Heisman hero No. 2 overall in the 2025 NFL draft. As he is done with all the fun and glitter, phone calls, hugs, massive shout-outs, interviews, handshakes, and heaps of congratulations, his brother lit up the news. Trayvis Hunter, the former Buffs two-way star’s younger brother, has already made a name for himself on OT7, scoring twice for Cam Newton’s C1N. He knows he is made of gold. Now he’s making the world know.

For those unversed, Cam Newton’s C1N — a 7v7 football program primarily shaped for kids ages 12 to 18 to train their skills under the eagle eye of the former NFL MVP. Trayvis has been phenomenal in making the best out of his amazing opportunity. The WR mounted two receiving touchdowns against the City Reapers. Even though his QB didn’t get him the chance to attack outright, withholding a front throw, Trayvis, donning the No. 12 jersey, used a sneak into the defensive hold, finding the most vulnerable spots in the opposition’s coverage.

The skilled wide receiver out of Effingham County High School in Springfield, Georgia, is already doing justice to his brother’s last name. In the latest intel, he is flaunting his feat over the #AGTG Springball. Posting an insane clip of him stunning the crowd with some insane leg movements, the Hunter junior wrote on X, “#AGTG Springball went great. Junior Szn loading. @fordtough301 @CoachYoung34.”

His natural playmaking ability is clearly beyond his age. Trayvis’s talent translated to a scorecard containing 496 receiving yards and six touchdowns over nine games in 2024. The sophomore from Georgia doesn’t just make it big on the field. Just like his predecessor, he is also making waves in the NIL market as well. He has penned a deal with Adidas, the leading sports giant in the world.

The one person Trayvis owes most of his success in all areas of his life to is none other than his wonder mom, Ferrante Edmonds. As her firstborn looks quite settled on the pro, she shifted her focus to the younger one, a breakout star in the making. On May 15, Edmonds had a live session on IG from the ground of Trayvis game day. The caption read, “Just like that! Trayvis spring football game!”

Edmonds, just like an ideal guardian, doesn’t just make her kids run for fame and money in life. While she appreciates whatever they have achieved in terms of their career, she adds a bit of spiritual awakening to give them a different perspective of things. “Mark my words. It’s going to go down for all our players…all our kids are going to prosper in this football game. Not just football games, but life in general,” the mama of the two class athletes said in the video.

She asked all the kids out there to keep going no matter how the circumstances tested them throughout. They say an example is better than advice. So, Edmonds garnished his wisdom with a real-time instance, saying, “I’m out here in the heat, supporting.”

What’s your perspective on:

Will Trayvis Hunter outshine his brother Travis, or is he just riding on family fame?

However, Travis, like a next-door sibling, doesn’t stop pulling the legs of his little bro.

Travis Hunter continues to be a bully to his younger bro

Travis Hunter, during the draft process, took some time to unwind, supporting his younger brother, Trayvis Hunter. Trayvis’s skill is no smokescreen. It’s evident. But enter a typical elder brother syndrome, and all of it would look like child’s play. Trayvis had already flaunted a slew of offers from Tennessee State, Georgia State, and Jackson State, where Travis, alongside Shedeur Sanders, played over a few years before Colorado happened.

A legacy recreation? Or a byproduct of a legend? Trayvis’s fate is still up for some hard tests. But Travis doesn’t hesitate to demean his potential. In a video clip posted by Travis Hunter, the NFL rookie said that he’s happy to see his little brother going out there and making great plays.

“Now I had to show up and watch my dog, hopefully he does something, he might not do, but I still came out here to support my boy,” he stated. However, the deep love underneath these small, cute, brotherly mischiefs doesn’t go unnoticed by the world.

Travis, during the Heisman night at New York, gave a heartfelt shoutout to his boy, his dawg. You know I do this for you, bro; we’ve been doing this for a long time. You were always next to me even the times I didn’t want to take you. My mama made me take you, bro.” Travis flushed with emotion, continuing, “I’m doing this for your bro. I’m doing this for all my sibling, man.”

However, Travis, like a watchdog of his little brother’s career path, stays firm on his ‘do it on your own’ philosophy. He wants his brother to go the hard way, just like him, to achieve all the sweet fruit of sweat.
