Manning will face off against an elite Georgia defense this weekend. It’s a big game, and he’s covering all his bases. That included taking advice from Ty Simpson – the one person who gets to have real bragging rights over the Bulldogs. “Arch Manning said he anticipates debriefing with Alabama QB Ty Simpson, who went on the road and beat Georgia earlier this season. Said they’ve exchanged info about mutual opponents previously.” The Alabama QB later revealed that the two share a rapport that goes beyond sharing tips.
“Arch’s got a loud mouth, huh? That’s my guy…We talk weekly, not just about ball, but just how each other are doing. He’s a really good friend of mine,” Simpson told the press recently. He also revealed that he asked Manning about Oklahoma, which was a really good game for the Longhorns QB. “Stuff that we talk about not just as friends but, you know, as quarterbacks as well.”
