Well, what do you know? Just days after signing that fancy Gatorade NIL deal, Ty Simpson decided it was time to put up a diabolical performance against Kirby Smart‘s No. 5-ranked Georgia Bulldogs. You’d almost think all that “Built by Bama, Fueled by Gatorade” was actually true! Before the second half even kicked off, the former 5-star had already completed 15 of 23 passes for 192 yards and 2 touchdowns.

And he even added a rushing touchdown for good measure, just to really stick it to Coach Smart’s defense. Who needs a tune-up game when you can just drop a Heisman-worthy performance on a top-5 opponent after chugging some of that electrolyte-infused beverage? Simpson is putting the performance of his lifetime against the No. 5-ranked Georgia Bulldogs.

Nobody expected Bama or even Simpson to put up a dog-fight like this, not especially since their Week 1 upset of L against Mike Norvell’s Florida State, the program which went 2-10 last season. Bama entered this game as the underdog. Georgia was a 2.5-point favourite, with the over/ under set at 53.5 points. But that didn’t bother  Ty Simpson one bit. Ty Simpson was on the money before hitting the Sanford turf.

In the first quarter itself, he hit Germie Bernard on his stride for a 6-yard touchdown, which gave Bama an early lead of 7-0. He decided to take one (TD) home by himself. Ty Simpson’s hot streak didn’t end there; he threw another 6-yard strike to Isaiah Horton. Alabama did everything in their power to help Kirby Smart go 1-7 against them. Alabama has schooled Georgia for more than a decade now. The Roll Tide has a historical edge against Georgia, winning 9 of the last 10 games.

Ty Simpson has been on fire this season. He’s already tossed for 862 yards and 9 touchdowns through 3 games (excluding this one). After the first game against the Florida State Seminoles, folks were a little antsy; many folks had questions about whether he was truly the guy to bring Bama up to their golden standard set by the GOAT himself. The defense had a rough day in that opener, especially struggling to stop the run all night, but Simpson, even then, was pretty much on the money, slinging dimes for 254 yards and a couple of touchdowns without turning the ball over once.

But forget that first game. Since then, he’s been practically unstoppable. In the last 2 matchups, Simpson’s been absolutely shredding defenses by completing almost 90% of his throws. We are talking 41 of 46 passes for a cool 608 yards and a whopping 7 touchdowns. And yeah, you guessed it right, still no turnovers in those games either. Even Sports Illustrated gave props, saying that he has “risen to the occasion” and really slowed the game down for himself. However, the 2nd half is still to go, let’s see how the night will end for Simpson and…his NIL bag.

Ty Simpson’s Gatorade NIL

On September 25, Ty Simpson hopped onto X and flexed his new Gatorade NIL deal. This move is a big deal, putting him in the same league as other college sports stars who’ve linked up with the big-time sports drink brand. Although we don’t have the exact numbers on the cash flow, it’s a clear sign that college athletes are raking in serious dough thanks to their fame before they even think about going pro. His On3 NIL Valuation is currently hovering around a cool $948,000, which is pretty boss-like money.

But this Gatorade deal isn’t the only play Simpson is making. He’s got a whole bunch of lineups of NIL deals already in the bag, including partnerships with heavy hitters like Hugo Boss, Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers, and even EA Sports for the college football game. This string of endorsements totally shows his value, both on the field and off, and proves he’s a rising star in the NIL game.
