On the 31st August episode of the ‘USC Athletics’ show, Lincoln Riley gave an interview and talked about all things related to the Trojans and how the team is going to look like, going into this season. Later in a segment, he was asked about his thoughts on the rival coach, Brian Kelly, and while rivalries are usually sour, Riley expressed an immense amount of respect for the head coach.

While talking about the success that Kelly has had so far, Riley said, “Ton of respect for him. He’s obviously done a great job everywhere he’s been. He’s been a really good program builder. He’s had success at different levels so I think he’s done a great job. Somebody I’ve admired for a long time.” Thus, the two coaches seem to be sharing a great sense of camaraderie as they wish for the better team to come out on top on 2nd September.
