Warren Sapp spent his life wrecking offensive lines, chasing QBs, and etching his name into NFL history. But when it comes to his kids, he’s a big softie, especially with his youngest son, Carter Sapp. “The 6th and final SAPP I made!” he wrote on Instagram in 2021, looking proud as he posed with his youngest. And now that Carter reached a major milestone, the fearsome No. 99 and Colorado’s pass rush coordinator is feeling the weight of time like a lineman in double coverage. How time flies!

Well, on March 30, the proud father took to Instagram, posting a photo of his son looking sharp in a suit and tie for prom. The son had a bright smile as his father clicked his picture. Warren Sapp then took to Instagram and posted his son’s picture with a short caption: “I think, I have one more prom!! #BabySapp #LastOfDyingBreed #Carter.”

Carter Sapp, class of 2026, walks the halls of Allatoona High School in suburban Acworth, Georgia. A student leader and a young man on his way to leaving his own mark. He might be Warren Sapp’s forever “Baby Boy,” but he’s already making a name for himself. He was named Allatoona High’s Student of the Day for his contributions to the school community.

“Let’s give big shoutout to our amazing @dailygrindcoffee Student of the Day, Carter Sapp! 🎉👏🏻 Your dedication and achievements continue to inspire us,” the school’s IG account posted.

Carter Sapp’s commitment goes beyond the classroom. He volunteered to assist with dinner setup, serving, and cleanup for the AP info meeting, earning high praise from his teacher Mrs. Alejandro, who said, “I appreciate his willingness to help with this event.” It’s clear he’s following in his father’s footsteps in his relentless drive to be great in whatever he does.

Warren Sapp is a family man and a devoted dad!

Warren Sapp had lifted the Lombardi Trophy, been named Defensive Player of the Year, and earned a gold jacket in Canton. But his most important role is being a father. He married Jamiko Vaughn in 1998, and they had two kids—Mercedes Sapp and Warren Sapp II, aka Deuce. Interestingly, Warren initially steered Deuce away from football, wanting him to find his own path. Deuce did just that, starting with lacrosse before becoming a dominant force in high school football at Winter Garden Foundation Academy. His senior year was phenomenal, with 24 sacks, ranking him second nationally. Academically gifted and a team leader, Deuce earned a scholarship to Florida Atlantic University, transitioning to linebacker while smartly pursuing multimedia studies for a future beyond the field.

Warren is also a devoted father to other children from different relationships and has always prioritized bonding with them, especially seen in his connection with his eldest daughter, Mercedes, aka Cede.

One such instance is Warren Sapp traveling 1,880 miles from Boulder to Tampa just to have dinner with Cede. And the content daughter posted that sweet dinner date on her Instagram with a heartwarming caption—“BEST FRIENDS FOREVER 🥹” But while his bond is especially strong with Cede, he doesn’t turn a blind eye to his other kids, and that sweet prom picture is proof.

So when Warren Sapp posted that prom picture, it wasn’t just a proud dad moment. It was a reflection of everything that had come before it. The last of his six children is stepping into adulthood. The “last of a dying breed.”
