After 13 years, the Texas Longhorns will play against their biggest rivals, the Texas A&M. Their relationship ended on a peaceful note in 2011, but who thought they would face off again? SEC played the cupid, and they met again in 2024. While the game holds significant importance, an Aggie’s fan decided to make his day more special.
And guess what? He popped up the big question. The official Instagram account of College Game Day posted the video and captioned it, “She said YES. He said, HORNS DOWN.” The game is about to start, and we don’t know who is winning but the superfan won for life.

During the segment, the reporter asked the Aggies fan about his thoughts on the upcoming game. He chose not to respond to that question and hijacked the stage for his marriage proposal and said, “You know… that’s a fantastic question, but I have a better question… Erica, will you marry me?” Well, congratulations to Erika, his fiance! And obviously to the man she’ll be marrying.
The couple is going to cherish this moment for their entire life and guess what? The proposal is now more special because legendary Nick Saban made a quick response with a touching story. Saban is one of the broadcasters for ESPN’s GameDay. Saban’s unscripted remarks about the engagement added his personal touch to the atmosphere and made the couple’s day even more special.
What if Aggies wins today? That would be cherry on top for the couple, but what would the loss mean to Texas?

Will Texas still qualify if they lose today?
Steve Sarkisian must be so proud of his team; they are entering the rivalry week with a 10-1 record. Their only defeat against Georgia had not affected them much and they are still well-positioned for a first-round bye in the College Football Playoff. Texas is the only team in the conference with only one conference loss, which solidifies their position even more.
What if they lose today? Can they still enter the playoffs? Yes! According to ESPN, they have 97% of entering the CFP. Although they are very close to entering the top 4 spot, they still have a significant challenge ahead of this week. See, Aggies do not really have anything to lose; they are entering the matchup with an 8-3 record. Last week, after losing to Auburn, they lost the chances to enter the playoffs. The game is going to be intense because both teams will play against each other after 13 years and both football programs have a lot to prove.
