Dani Dennis-Sutton studied in Delaware until middle school years, and Dennis’ parents decided to send him to McDonogh School in Owings Mills, Maryland, a football powerhouse. He was a multi-sport athlete who played football, basketball, and ran track. He was a two-time team captain for McDonogh School, leading the team to an 11-1 record and a runner-up in the Maryland A conference. His junior season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In his senior year, he was selected to play in the 2022 All-American Bowl and the Polynesian Bowl, but was sidelined due to injury. He finished 40 tackles (21 solo), six sacks, and two forced fumbles as a sophomore, and 14 stops (3 solo) as a freshman. Penn State was not on his college list until the top athletes of his school joined Penn State, which is two hours away from where he lives. He committed to Penn State with 30+ offers in his hands as a top recruit in the class of 2022.
