Who are Braedyn Locke’s parents?
Braedyn Locke was born to Trey and Ashley Locke, a Texas couple who balanced humility and ambition. As an offensive lineman in high school, Trey was familiar with the demands of the game. Although he didn’t force his kid to play football, he saw his talent at a young age when Braedyn was one of the best Wii Football players in the country at the age of five.

Trey said, “I remember thinking I wish there was a chat on here so I could tell them he’s 5. And I was not helping him.” Ashley, on the other hand, was the silent force driving their family’s rhythm.
How did Trey Locke and Ashley Locke meet?
There is no public info on how Trey and Ashley met, but what we do know is how well they complement each other and support Braedyn in his journey. Ashley’s constant warmth is balanced by Trey’s sense of humor and football brains. “Braedyn is such a sweet kid, and he was always a sweet kid,” Trey said.
“But much like his mother, once he makes up his mind, it’s a done deal. And so he wasn’t really asking.” When 10-year-old Braedyn issued them an ultimatum: no more baseball until he could play football, it was clear that their common resolve had become the foundation of the family. The rest is history when they finally gave in to his demands. The Lockes were raising a quarterback after that day.

What is the ethnicity of Braedyn Locke’s parents?
There is no public information on the ethnicity of Braedyn and his parents. Braedyn Locke was born and brought up in the small town of Rockwall, Texas, where high school football is an integral part of the community.
His childhood revolved around the game long before he ever suited up under Friday night lights. Backyard throws, game video nights, and plenty of patient coaching from his father turned Trey and Ashley’s house into a tiny training ground for his dreams.
Inside Braedyn Locke’s relationship with his Parents
Braedyn’s relationship with his parents has always remained rock solid despite his increasing fame. His origins keep him grounded, whether he’s having quiet dinners with family or talking down plays with his dad after games. “He’s not spending any more hours than usual watching film,” Trey said ahead of his son’s first start. “It is what it is, and it’s time to be who he is.” These words show faith rather than pressure, a conviction that their son’s resilience and passion for the game will carry him.
Trey showed up throughout Wisconsin’s highs and lows, but he did it as a diligent mentor in the stands. Trey felt both pride and pity when Braedyn was given his chance following Tanner Mordecai’s injury. “I can’t put into words how instrumental Tanner has been to Braedyn,” he said. “But this is what he’s been preparing for.”
Braedyn Locke’s journey is as much about family as it is about football, from the youngster who fell asleep to Vince Young’s championship run to the Arizona Wildcat who has rewritten parts of his own story. A part of the story is revealed by the stats: 1,936 passing yards, 13 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions in 2024.
