Who are Deuce Alexander’s parents?

Deuce is the son of Hilton Alexander and Karen Alexander. And Hilton seems to be the primary why reason Deuce’s football roots run deep. By age six, he was already living and breathing the game, coached by none other than his dad. Being an NFL veteran, Hilton knows football inside and out. After signing with the 49ers as an undrafted free agent in 2001, he played three seasons with San Francisco and New Orleans. Eventually, injuries forced him to hang up his cleats. “Deuce came out of the womb being athletic. He wanted to catch, jump, and throw. When he got to be four years old, he told me he wanted to play football… I didn’t plan on coaching, I just wanted to train him,” said Hilton, referring to Deuce’s love for football in his early years. Later, with his father’s guidance, Deuce’s success on the field was so impressive that Hilton’s coaching quickly gained popularity. So many families wanted him to train their kids that Hilton mentioned, “I’ve got 30 or 40 kids on any given Sunday… My wife was like, ‘Yeah, you better go ahead and legitimize this.'” And that’s how he earned the nickname ‘Route King.’

But it wasn’t just the early days. Even when Deuce made his college decision, Hilton played a huge role. He agreed with his son’s choice of Ole Miss, trusting the staff there and confident in their culture and ability to develop talent. “That’s why I co-signed it immediately. I wanted him in an environment that could nurture his talent. He has natural ability, but talent still has to be developed… and the Ole Miss staff has a history of taking guys to the next level,” explained Hilton.
