Purdue quarterback Ryan Browne amazed everyone with his first-ever start in college football season in last week’s game against Illinois. After which, head coach Ryan Walters wants to give the next shot to Browne, saying, “I think the way he played it, it would be unfair not to. Jim kicked off his football career at Northwestern University in 1980. While he was playing his second season, he made waves, rushing for 140 yards and snagging 24 receptions.

That’s not it. Jim then transferred to Boston College, where he shared the same field with legendary quarterback Doug Flutie. Any 80s fan would know Flutie was a game-changer. Their pair raised some eyebrows in college football after they helped the Eagles score a 10-2 record in the 1984 season. Remember that Hail Marry victory over Miami? Coming back to Jim Browne’s journey, after college he played for teams such as the Detroit Lions, Miami Dolphins, and Los Angeles Rams in the NFL during the 80s.
