Quarterback Sam Leavitt is thriving as the leader of the Arizona State Sun Devils. Last week against Kansas Jayhawks, the standout QB scored a high-stake performance, leading the team to a spectacular 35-31 win. While receiver Jordyn Tyson has been by Leavitt’s side throughout the stellar week 6 game, Offensive co-ordinator Marcus Arroyo is who shaped the standout QB’s strategic rise to the helm of his craft.

While the rise still continues and there is a lot more on his plate that the world will gradually get to see a glimpse of, it’s worth taking a break to stop and look back at how far the 19-years-old come through his extraordinary grit and passion and, unmistakably, a healthy childhood, bestowed by his Oregon native parents.

Who are Sam Leavitt’s parents, Tania Leavitt and Jared Leavitt?

Leavitt kicked in his high school career at Westview High School in Portland, Oregon. After some early success, the teen talent landed at Pleasant Grove High School in Utah for an even better sophomore year. He quickly started to exceed expectations, showcasing his immense talent to the world. The numbers are quite decent, with Leavitt rushing 103-for-196 for 1,672 yards. The insane touchdown-interception ratio used to leave the recruiters in awe. The young prodigy, however, had a change of mind as he went back to Westview after a while. Again, some amazing numbers are on the watch. Leavitt made for 2,033 yards and 26 touchdowns, leading the team to a decent 8-1 record. Sam capitalized on his numbers to rise higher in the transfer portal and through a bypass journey to Michigan State, the kid finally found his home at Arizona State. This storybook journey would have been just a dream if dad, Jared Leavitt, hadn’t fueled the sportsman’s passion inside him from the tender days.

Jared Leavitt, used to play for Brigham Young University (BYU) in the early 1990s and has been quite popular among the football fanfare. So, it’s no surprise that the unsung shoulder tried to relieve his childhood dreams through his son. But it was never only the father who looked to the quintessential career graph right from the beginning, but the family in the collective played a crucial role.

Meet Sam Leavitt’s football freak family and the upbringing

Tania Leavitt is Sam’s mother. Although not much has been known about her personal life, she has been the emotional pillar for her child, looking after all of his needs just like every other regular mother on earth. But this is not it. Leavitt, as a child, grew closer with another athletic figure in the family, his brother Dallin Leavitt, who left his mark on the CFB world playing under Utah State and BYU before entering the NFL. Currently, he’s nailing his sixth NFL season as a standout safety for the Green Bay Packers.

Dallin was proud to choose his father and elder siblings’ path, but with his individual flavor and majesty added to it as a taste enhancer. Dad, Jared, could clearly see his son shaping up to be a very physical (resilient) football player. His sheer aggression earned him the tag of “Absolute Assassin.” inside the field.

The air of sports and competition has always been a constant in the Leavitt family, holding space for Sam to build a legacy upon it.
