Week 3 is shaping up to be a huge one for Ole Miss, as they return to Vaught-Hemingway to host Arkansas. The anticipation is palpable. Lane Kiffin’s team is 2-0 after wins against Georgia State and Kentucky. But they’re now up against a Razorbacks team that’s quicker, tougher, and features Taylen Green, a dual-threat QB that can kill their momentum. Even Kiffin feels the heat as he calls it a “really challenging” game, and he’s right. Sam Pittman has this defense playing aggressive. But who are going to be the announcers for this exciting game?

On the other side, Dusty Dvoracek brings a unique perspective to the booth. A tough nose guard at Oklahoma, he was a two-time All-Big 12 selection before being drafted by the Chicago Bears in the third round in 2006. Injuries shortened his NFL career, but he found a second career in media, working hard at Fox Sports, ESPN, and SiriusXM. Dusty provides sharp analysis, breaking down the game from the viewpoint of someone who’s experienced the intensity of the line of scrimmage.

Can Arkansas win against Ole Miss?
This battle between Arkansas and Ole Miss marks their 72nd game. Although Arkansas holds a 37-31-1 series lead, Ole Miss has won the last two, a feat not achieved since the 2018-19 seasons during the Chad Morris era. Last year’s 63-31 Ole Miss victory was the largest margin in series history. The Razorbacks arrive in Oxford with plenty to prove.
Let’s not forget that Ole Miss also has weapons. All eyes are on Austin Simmons, who’s showing potential by completing 60% of his passes, with 44 rushing yards and a touchdown against Kentucky. But he’s also thrown four interceptions in two games. Arkansas knows that if its secondary and defensive line can apply pressure, turnovers will be the result. That’s the kind of chaos the Hogs need to pull off an upset.
What’s your perspective on:
Is Lane Kiffin's Ole Miss ready to crush Arkansas, or will the Razorbacks pull off an upset?

Meanwhile, Arkansas’s Taylen Green has been on fire, currently leading the nation with 10 passing touchdowns and 753 total yards. But their previous games against Alabama A&M and Arkansas State weren’t against SEC defenses. Green’s real challenge starts now. If he can protect the ball, avoid costly sacks, and balance efficiency with his signature big plays on the ground, he could become one of the best quarterbacks in the conference.

Now, it’s not just on Green. The offensive line needs to step up. Last year, Ole Miss limited Arkansas to 3.4 yards per carry and sacked their quarterbacks eight times, even scoring a defensive touchdown. Three new starters, Corey Robinson II, Caden Kitler, and Kobe Branham, will make their first SEC starts on Saturday.
On top of that Injuries also play a role. Arkansas is without wide receivers Monte Harrison, Antonio Jordan, and Ismael Cisse, and running back Cam Settles is doubtful. Ole Miss is missing Traylon Ray, while QB Simmons, RB Kewan Lacy, and WR Harrison Wallace III are probable. This SEC showdown is shaping up to be one of the best games of Week 3.
