A double overtime loss against Virginia surely hurt the pride of the Seminoles faithful. Their streak ended, and they looked shaky at times. But that does not count them out from being a threat to the Canes. Top performers like Thomas Castellanos and Duce Robinson have all been putting in work for FSU. Castellanos has been FSU’s engine on offense, completing around 64.3% of his passes for 848 yards, with 4 touchdowns and 3 interceptions. Robinson, on the other hand, had a massive game against East Texas, posting a career-high 173 receiving yards on five catches, with two touchdowns. At Miami’s end, Carson Beck leads the charge, posting up 972 passing yards, with 7 touchdowns so far this season. He isn’t alone, though, as Mark Fletcher Jr. has been pulling his weight, rushing for 388 yards and scoring 5 rushing touchdowns.
It just goes on to show the level of offensive talent these teams have, and watching them play would be an absolute delight. Speaking of delight, the ESPN crew joining the match day would have Chris Fowler as the play-by-play commentator. Chris has filled many roles, being the host of College GameDay, a sideline reporter, and a play-by-play announcer for football. His voice is praised for clarity and pacing. A man of many qualities, Fowler will be an absolute joy on Sunday.

Joining him as an analyst would be Kirk Herbstreit. He joined GameDay in 1996. He usually pairs up with Fowler, so it’s going to be a great team-up. Kirk’s analysis and breakdowns are sharp. He understands the game better because he played for Ohio as QB. On the sideline, the duo will be joined by Holly Howe. She joined ESPN in 1998 and has worked across many sports. It’s exciting to have such a great team for such an anticipated game.
The teams, the rivalry, the fans, and the commentary team just create more hype for this matchup. Who wins? That’s a question that will be difficult for the fans to answer. Thomas Castellanos and Carson Beck will be key for their teams. Whoever influences the game more, wins.

Who do analysts pick between FSU and Miami?
Regardless of who wins, the game will be talked about as one of the exciting bouts of the season. But who are the analysts picking? On his podcast, David Pollack chose Miami. He believes FSU has no chance against Miami after their performance against Virginia. “They got Miami. I find it really hard to believe that they’re going to be able to run against Miami with those freaking ace kicking Jesse’s in the box. Like those dudes are out for blood. They get in the back field. They got a bunch of guys they can chase Tommy,” said Pollack.

Danny Kannel picked FSU on CBS. Being a lifelong fan, there was no way he wouldn’t pick them. “I am just nonpartial in this one and take off my homer out. I think Florida State bounces back. This is a place where they did have that huge game against Alabama. I think you get the best effort, and I do think it’ll have to be a higher scoring game in order to do so. So, I’ve got Florida State winning 30-27,” said Kannel.
Joining Kannel was Chip Patterson, who sided with Miami. He justified his pick by saying, “I’m going to go with the team that is built as well as anybody along the lines of scrimmage. And a quarterback who has just a little bit more seasoning when it comes to winning these biggest games. So, I will go with Miami, getting it done in Tallahassee 30-28.”
