On Saturday, Ryan Day’s Ohio State Buckeyes will hit the road for the first time this season. They will travel to the Pacific Northwest from Columbus, a first away game for both leaders of the offense, Julian Sayin and offensive coordinator Brian Hartline. Both Ohio State and Washington enter the matchup at 3-0, though the Huskies carry the underdog tag behind the play of standout quarterback Demond Williams. All eyes will be on how Sayin handles the pressure of Husky Stadium and whether he can stay composed amid the famed “Husky Roar.”

As for the broadcast, CBS will carry the game at 3:30 p.m. ET. Brad Nessler will be on play-by-play, with Gary Danielson providing analysis in the booth. Jenny Dell will report from the sidelines with live updates. Fans can also stream the matchup on Paramount+ and Fubo.

Brad Nessler, a veteran voice in broadcasting, began his career with WGST, covering the Georgia Tech basketball from 1980 to 85, and the Atlanta Falcons’ play-by-play from 1982 to 1988. He later moved to the Minnesota Vikings. Moving on, he teamed up with CBS, covering the NFL, college football, and college basketball. Working across CBS, NFL Network, ESPN, and the NBA, he established himself as a trusted voice in the broadcasting landscape.

Gary Danielson comes to the box with his 13-year NFL knowledge. A legendary quarterback at Purdue Boilermakers, he was recently honored by his alma mater during the clash between Purdue and USC. Kicking off his career back in 1990 as an analyst with ESPN, he has worked across ABC, teaming up with Brent Musburger during the 1990s and the early 2000s. In 2006, he moved to CBS Sports, working alongside Verne Lundquist. After the 2025 season, the veteran will be retiring.

Reporter Jenny Dell joined CBS Sports back in 2014 as a sideline reporter for the NFL and college football. Moving up the ladder, she presently serves as the lead college football reporter. In addition to that, she worked for CBS Sports HQ, as well as the Big Ten’s Campus Eats series. Before joining CBS, she worked as a reporter for the New England Sports Network’s coverage of the Boston Red Sox.

Can the Huskies win on their home turf?

No wonder the odds are in favor of the 2024 national champion, Ohio State, an 8.5-point favorite. But the Huskies are called the Underdogs. Jedd Fisch might have wrapped up 6-7 overall last campaign, but they remain undefeated on their home turf. A streak of 22-0, going back to 2022. Last week, he crushed Washington State, winning the 59-24 Apple Cup. Completing 16-0f-19 passes, he chipped in 298 yards and four touchdowns. Moreover, he also tallied 88 rushing yards and a score. The 5’11, 190-pound quarterback has the accuracy, with a QB rating of 93.6, and has not thrown a single interception this season. On the other hand, Sayin has thrown three interceptions, with a QB rating of 75.9.

However, the defending national champions will prove to be a challenge. One of the weak points of the Huskies might be their pass defense. They rank No. 62nd nationally, and the WR duo, Jeremiah Smith and Cornell Tate, will make sure to exploit that weakness, coupled with Matt Patricia’s defensive playbook.
